FM Radio quit working

Out of the blue the FM Radio stopped working. The AM and the CD player the tape player and the Nav all work fine. The FM will scroll but never stops. The service people said something about it being in transport mode but they didn't know how to get it back to normal. Please help as the BMW dealer isn't worth the bother.

The only way to get the car out of transport mode is for the dealer to plug the car in to the main diagnostic terminal and download the software to activate all of the control modules. This has to be done to all new cars arriving from the factory.
As your car is a 1994 this reason is highly unlikely for the radio to off stopped working.
It sounds to me that the actual radio tuner has given up, in short you may need a new radio.

My 2003 Toyota Camry has an AM/FM radio with a tape player and a CD player. The radio and tape player work fine, but when I insert a CD in the player, it will not play 99% of the time. The CD activates...

Usually it is the drive unit for the CD. The linear tracking device that drives and guides the CD read laser is not tracking. Usually when this happens there is NO fixing it. You might just have to bite the bullet and get a new head unit.

your radio is shot, and the cd and tape player still works. You have to buy a new radio if you want to listen to a radio.

Can't get navigation and cd player to work

You can purchase the manual from the dealer. You need the disc for the nav system to program it. Another is you may need to have a code to operate the nav. Did you press the mode button to go from radio to cd? Try to detach the negative battery or press the reset button to factory default, this will bring you back to the factory settings. It looks like a small hole on the radio face. You must use a fine point to push it in and reset it. Is a cd stuck inside of the cd slot? Do all your trouble shooting first and you will find your answer......runjoe
