U must remove the center console....remove the ashtray..(pull it ) remove the plastic trim piece around the shifter , should just pop off ,,,held on by clips...u will see 2 phillips screws under that piece., the 2 screws that secure the trim panel that ur hazard switch is attached to.....remove those screws and gently pull the panel off , u may have to unplug the clock and otherm necessary connectors includeing the hazard switch connector to remove the panel..u should be able to remove the switch with a screwdriver..reinstall everything back the way u took it off...be sure to plug the cig lighter back in...

The direction signal won't work after the hazard button stuck "on"

The hazzard switch overrides the turn signal circuit. If it's stuck on, there will be no turn signals. You will have to repair or replace that hazzard switch to get your turn signals to work again.

The blinkers on my 97 honda accord wont work but the hazard lights do

The turn signal flasher is separate from the hazard flasher and that is the problem that you need to look at.I can''t tell you where the flasher is but i am 95% sure that a new flasher will fix your problem, otherwise that hazards would not work either. It still could be the turn signal switch but that is a rarity.

hi, it sounds like the flasher box or relay may be u/s, its sounds like its sticking when it gets hot, that's why it will work for a time then stop, try locating the flasher box or relay and replacing it, that might cure the problem...hope that helps

Turn Signals/blinkers

Did you double-check to be sure the fuses are intact and not blown? If they are OK, it could be a turn signal relay or the switch itself (I have firsthand experience with the switch failing with respect to headlight operation, so there's no reason to believe that it couldn't fail for turn signal operation as well).

If you find that it's the switch, reply here and I can walk you through its replacement - it's about a five minute job.
