2003 lincoln no a/c inside the car

Heater works and a/c works but the a/c does not blow into passenger compartment. I think there is a baffle under the dash that controls a/c air flow. How do you remove the dash to get to it?

2003
was a new model design. I have 2002 info.

you have about 4 doors that pivot and control air flow direction either by vacuum motors or electric motors. If system fails, the default is out of the defrost ducts to keep the windshield clear.

Try this test for 2002 system.

Front Panel DATC Module Self-Test (On-demand Diagnostic Trouble Codes—DTCs)
On-demand DTCs are those that are reported by an ECU when a failure is detected while executing a diagnostic test. For the DATC module this means that all faults (hard) that occur while the module is conducting a self-test shall be reported as an on-demand DTC.

  • The DATC module self-test will not detect concerns associated with data link messages such as engine coolant temperature or vehicle speed signals. The scan tool must be used to retrieve these concerns.
  • The vehicle interior temperature should be between 0-32°C (32-90°F) when carrying out the self-test. If the temperatures are not within the specified ranges, false temperature sensor DTCs may be displayed.
The DATC module self-test through the front panel display:
  • can be initiated at any time. Normal operation of the system stops when the self-test is activated.
  • is entered by pressing the OFF and FLOOR buttons simultaneously and then pressing the AUTO button within two seconds. The display will show counts of 1 to 25 in the center of the display window. Record all DTCs displayed.
  • concludes by reporting all on-demand DTCs. Follow the diagnostics procedure given under ACTION in the DTC index for each DTC given.
  • reports individual on-demand DTCs as four-digit DTCs (less the alpha character).
  • will calibrate all the mode doors and check all analog inputs. The DATC module will only report on-demand (hard) faults that occurred while the DATC module was conducting its self-test.
  • will light all control panel display segments if no faults are detected.
  • will report individual on-demand DTCs without the °C symbol lit.
To exit the self-test, press any button. This will clear all on-demand codes from the DATC module memory. If no button is pushed DTCs will continue to be displayed.
Upon exit from the self-test the DATC module returns to operational status. The DATC module executes a hard (cold boot) reset which places the DATC system in the OFF mode.
If a condition exists but no DTCs appear during the self-test, GO to Symptom Chart Condition: The DATC System Is Inoperative, Intermittent or Incorrect Operation.
Always exit the self-test before powering the system down (system turned OFF).

PS. Where is air coming out in heat or cooling modes?

Viewing wiring diagrams for that circuit to see what all in powers up should be done , then isolate the circuit's till you find the problem circuit . Video's on youtube on how to find shorts . Which fuse box ? Under the hood in the engine compartment or inside the passenger compartment fuse panel ? # 11 in the underhood fuse panel is power supply for Air ride compressor relay . May be shorted relay .

Toyota echo floor heater problems

Check passenger side, under dash, make sure any loose linkage is actually attached to the baffle levers. I had this happen. Passenger accidently kicked the linkage off and suddenly we had no heat. It was seriously cold inside. Mechanic showed me the linkage disconnect on passenger side under the dash right under the glove compartment.

My heater does not work ,but the ac work fine.

it could possibly be that the heater core is clogged. locate the two hoses connected to the heater core they will be on the passenger side of the car coming out of the firewall into the engine compartment. remove the hoses at the end not connected to the heater core and with a garden hose with a pressure nozzle on it blow water through the core, then blow the opposite direction. water should flow freely in both directions. if it is clogged this should fix it.

Blowing cold air when heater on, losing anti-freeze but no puddle under car on a 2003 ford expedition

Your heater core is leaking, needs to be replaced asap... see if there any leak around the passenger compartment area, that is where the heater core is usually located. Other then that, could be leaking coolant into the engine because head gasket is leaked, but and only if you see lot of whitish smoke coming out of your tailpipe, but in this case, looks like you have a leaking heater core.

PRECISELY, where is the fuse box in my 2003 Lincoln Navigator?

The passenger compartment fuse box is located on the Passenger side, near your right lower leg area. It's a rectangular panel in the right corner that pops off to reveal the fuse panel. There is also a power distribution box under the hood near the right fender wall next to the master cylinder.

1995 caprice clasic blows steam on windshield

you should be able to go under the dash on the passengers side to get to it. if you look where the heater hoses go in the engine compartment it will tell you how far up you have to go inside.
