1987 Buick Lesabre T stalling and running rough

The car stalls in drive and park. It also starts running rough when stopped at a stop light. Any suggestions on what to do about this or what to check? Has brand new plugs, wires and a fuel filter

Im not sure haven't tested it yet. Thanks and will try that. now we are having problems with the computer. They hook the reader up to it and it can't ready anything from it. we have replaced the prom and the computer itself but no luck.

it is back firing through the intake and stalls out. i changed my plugs already.what would be making it back fire through the intake?

I just had the same problem. Replaced the fuel filter,still crappy idle and no acceleration. I replaced the fump pump along with the wiring harness and the fuel pump screen and my cars purrs like a kitten,has back to normal acceleration and idles better than before. Hope this is some sort of help to you. I did it myself. Total cost, a little over $120. Good luck. By the way, your fuel pump should be pushing out about 65 lbs of pressure. is it ???

Last Mich. Winter quit twice while running-in park and driving. Started right back up. This Winter, same in park and running.Wont start back up. No power to windows, ect when quits.

if it is a fuel problem check the fuel pressure regulator
if the is fuel in the vacuum hose then u need a regulator

1994 Buick lesabre. starts and runs rough in spells, when driving tries to die, when step on gas gets worse and dies, if let off gas tries to idle, when doing this sometimes the speedometer goes up and...

engine idle then take a screwdriver and hit lightly the MAF sensor if engine stall then maf is defect.

My 87 buick centry stalls while driveing but when it stalls the battery light and service engine light comes on but once i put the car in park or nutrol it will start back up

My 1987 buick centry limited cuts off when i drive but when i start it back up it will start right bacc up at times some times it starts and die agin but when it dies the battery light and service engine light comes on but once it starts the service engine and battery light goes away and dont do it agine tell it cuts off agine

1993 LeSabre- just started running rough mostly when put in reverse or drive. Not so much in park or neutral but a little, maybe cause of higher idle speed in park. Also runs a bit rough at slow speeds....

Sounds like the Torque Converter Lock-up Solenoid is failing. It will cause the car to run rough at slow speeds, and sometimes stall while idling in gear (at a stop sign for example)
To test this, locate the 2 or 3 wire connector on the left side of the transmission (looking at it from the left side of the car, it can be hard to find some times) Disconnect it. If the car runs and drives ok with it unplugged, the Lock Up Solenoid has gone bad. The solenoid itself is inside the valve body, inside the transmission (above the transmission pan)

Car stall while driving on highway or when coming to a stop, it will re-start immediately but keeps stalling out.

Run a diagnostic scan to help troubleshoot---Fuel pump or crank sensor would be a good place to start guessing.

Buick utlra park ave has service engine light on and keeps stalling and evenutually completely cuts off Can restart but still runs rough then cuts off while in drive Has smell of rubber burning also
