Beleive this to be heater element in oxy sensor. Replaced the sensor with a used unit...same code. Code comes up after about 5-10 minutes running. Engine runs fine. How do I test the sensor...ECM.......wiring...etc to rectify this? I have an OBD11 unit and an ohm meter...

if you have high resistance in secondary ign. system (plug wires, ign.coil) this will cause this code to set. make sure you are using a high quality spark plug wire set. not from autozone!!! and denso non platinum tipped spark plugs. also use a diaelectric grease on plug wires to keep moisture out.
SOURCE: Code: P0133 - O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 1
is this a 4 or 6 cylinder?
if a 4 cylinder it will only have 2 o2 sensors
V6 will have 4 o2 senors which the sensor will be the right side of the engine first sensor.
1st sensor on exhaust, I recommend if you change one change all, as this will make the computer when it rechecks the system you have all clean/fast responding sensors.
if you have a slow response it means the sensor is dirty and not reading well, which is usually caused by minor misfires that the engine computer dismisses, so a tune up would be recommended too.

Your problem is most likey your intake gasket. They have a problems on the SOHC engines where the intake gasket shifts & starts leaking vacuum at the #1 intake runner causing a missfire on Cylinder #1.While the engine is Idling buy some throttle plate cleaner & spray throttle cleaner down at the #1 Intake runner where the intake meets the head.If engine stalls or runs rougher that's your problem.I have replaced dozens of those gaskets for tha reason!! They have a beter design gasket through saturn parts. It has a coating on it to prevent reoccurance. Also you should check you Coolant Temp Sensor,if it's ceramic it's most likely bad.Replacement is brass from saturn.Good Luck
SOURCE: I need to find the fuel filter on a 2004 saturn
Check your plugs, check the ign module, test the injectors, take a fuel sample and make sure there isnt water in your fuel, if all these test good perform a compression test. if the compression test fails replace the head. if the compression test is good. check the timing

I suspect the EGR got stuck closed, u will need to put around 30 miles on the car before the light will return if the problem is still present..
