ambient air temp sensor is same as intake air temp sensor. IAT Sensor on this vehicle is located in the intake air duct between filter and throttle body.

Low Reference
It is to the right front corner. You need to get down low to look thru a scoop like opening of the bumper. It's simple to replace, at least it is on my 2005. Buy it first so as to know what you are looking for.
There are two sensors; Climate Control Sun Sensor located on the dash or rearview mirror, and an Ambient Air Temperature Sensor located by the climate control panel. I believe the one you're looking for will be the Ambient Air Temperature Sensor.
