SOURCE: mercedes clk 200 fault code

you can easer the code by this tool, and or
In the vast majority of cases, simply cleaning the MAF sensor does the trick. Consult your service manual for it's location if you need help. I find it's best to take it off and spray it with electronics cleaner or brake cleaner. Make sure you are careful not to damage the MAF sensor, and make sure it's dry before reinstalling.
Inspect all vacuum and PCV hoses, replace if necessary.
Check for a dirty fuel filter and proper fuel pressure.

02 s 60 p2177-po500 engine wont rev over 2000rpm ,pulled out 02 sensor made no difference?

code p 1077 refers to system too lean off idle --bank 1 ====causes --fuel pressure ---injectors--intake leak
also refers to adaptive heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) control bank 1--signal high====causes ---wiring--short to positive ---HO2S---ECM
The HO2S is the sensor in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter and is responsible for setting the mixture

code p 0500 refers to the Vehicle speed sensor (VSS)---circuit malfunction====causes --wiring ---VSS--- ECM
replace the VSS

My 2004 Volvo s80 2.9L just had a check engine light come up and the faulty codes are P2177 and P2179. please help me understand what does this mean?

Sounds like you need new oxygen sensors.
Suggest take your vehicle to Autozone parts and have them test your engine codes. They do this for free.
They will tell you what you need to replace and more than likely they will have the parts in stock.

Check engine light is on and i am getting code p2177 system too lean off idle bank 1 how can i fix this can someone help thank you.

code p 2177 has to reference reasons for fault
1 is system too lean off idle bank 1===causes ---fuel pressure ---injectors --- intake leak
2 is adaptive heating sensor ( HO2S) control, bank 1---signal high===causes--wiring---short to positive ---HO2S--- ECM
the question was the engine operating correctly before the light came on and after the light came on--- if so that would eliminate the pressure and injectors
that would leave replacing the HO2S sensor which is the sensor in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter
make sure you use the correct sensor replacing tool as anything else will damage the wires and connections

2007 Hyundai Entourage codes P2187, PP0174,P2189,P2195,P2270,P2272

I've come across these codes before. In almost every case there was an air leak in the intake air hose (hose between the engine air filter & the throttle body). Inspect this hose & tubes attached to it. This is especially true when the lean code includes the comment 'at idle'
P2187 - System too lean at idle Bank 1
P0174 - System too lean Bank 2
P2189 - System too lean at idle Bank 2
P2195 = HO2S Signal Biased/Stuck Lean (Bank 1 Sensor 1)
P2270 = HO2S Signal Stuck Lean (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P2272 = HO2S Signal Stuck Lean (Bank 2 Sensor 2)

P2187 & P2189 = In order to provide the best possible combination of drivability, fuel economy and emission control, the PCM uses a closed loop air/fuel metering system. The PCM monitors the HO2S signal voltage and adjusts fuel delivery based in closed loop fuel control. Changes in fuel delivery will be indicated by the long-term and the short-term fuel trim values. The ideal fuel trim value is around 0%. The PCM will add fuel when the HO2S signal is indicating a lean condition. Additional fuel is indicated by fuel trim values that are above 0%. The PCM will reduce fuel when the HO2S signal is indicating a rich condition. Reduction in fuel is indicated by fuel trim values that are below 0%. The DTC relevant to fuel trim will be set when the amount reaches excessive levels because of a lean or rich condition

P2197 p2187 p2177 p2195 p2179 p2189

P2197 - Oxygen Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Lean Bank 2 Sensor 1
P2187 - System Too Lean At Idle Bank 1
P2177 - System Too Lean Off Idle Bank 1
P2195 - Oxygen Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Lean Bank 1 Sensor 1
P2179 - System Too Lean Off Idle Bank 2

I am not sure what your Mazda is, but from the sounds of it, both of your Oxygen Sensors are shot. Replace them both, or check for vacuum leaks. It may be a good time to inspect and replace the PCV Valve and PCV Valve hose, too.
