Door pannel removal

You can remove it by firstly removing all plastic most plastics wil have a place you can lift with flat screw driver then remove all screws and wangle pannel loose

To remove the window crank slip a small standard screwdriver behind where the crank mounts to the door.There is a small spring like c-clip pop the clip off and cran Window Handle Operation:
Replacement handle for cranking or rolling a side or rear window up or down. It slides over the window crankshaft and uses splines to match the window crank shaft splines as to avoid slippage. It's held in place with a simple spring clip and come in a variety of styles and colors.k will come off.

1. remove the triangle at the front of the window
2. remove the trim around the inside door handle
3. with the surround removed - pry the switch in the door up -it is connected with pressure seals- if u get a screw driver under it and push up- they will pop out as u go around the edge of it .leave the switches connected to the wiring since u have to put the window down in a little bit
4. remove the 2 screws in the door handle here they are starting to come out
5. put the windows down about a half inch or so....this will get easier to get the door handle bolts
6. using a door pannel tool disconnect the pannel from the door. you may break some of the pannel connectors so you may want to have a few replacements on hand for this
7. when the door pannel is loose enough to take off (don't remove it yet)- disconnect the wiring from the window/lock switches at this point
8.disconnect the courtesy light from the pannel
9. remove the plastic door pannel from the door and set it aside.

I have a 1988 GMC pickup,should be simular,my windows are power windows,the switches can be carfully removed ,(which will have to be done),by depressing clips holding them in carefully tilt them out.
remove wires noting where they go on switch .
remove two screws from arm rest, located underneath arm rest.if you have manual windows there is a wire like clip inserted into a slot in crank handle holding it on to the regulator shaft, you may be able to get it with a screwdriver, but you can get a tool from part store that works much better.
after that gently work around the door pannel with flat screwdriver poping the plastic retainers out of the door, be carefull not to rip them out of the pannel.

Roll the window down first, you will need 2 hands. Pull the small cover off that is at the top front of the door pannel. You will then disconnect the wire connector and remove the three 11mm nuts that are holding the mirror in place. Pull mirror out and replace.

If you dont have just that little pannel you will have to remove the door pannel. If you dont have power windows pull the cover out on the window crank and move it to the side, there will be a screw holding the crank in place. Remove it. If you do have power windows remove the window control switch plate (it will just pop up using a small screwdriver) and disconnect the wires. If equipped, remove the front door trim panel reflector or the courtesy lamp lens. Then remove the screws. DO NOT pull directly outward on the door pannel, something will brake. Remove the front door trim panel by pulling it straight upward.Lift and remove the front door trim panel. Then the nuts holding the mirror will be visible, remove and replace the mirror.

remove the screws for the catch all box ot the bottom of door, remove the window switch and the two hex head screws that hold the door panel on under the switch. remove the screws under the arm rest and remove it. When that is done it just un snaps from door

There should be screws located behind the inside door handle and around the armrest.. they need to be removed. The bottom edge should be secured by friction anchors that simply need to be pryed carefully loose by prying the bottom edge of the door panel away from the door.
Proceed slowly as not to damage clips or panel

What's the problem? Do you need to know where the screws are, what tool you need to remove the manual crank handle or pry off plastic retainer clips? You remove all the screws you can see including the armrest screws. And either ask for the right tools at a auto parts store or try using a couple of screw drivers. The window cranks are sometimes held on with a screw or nut under a plastic cover on the crank handle, but most use a C clip or wire clip that fits in a groove in the back of the handle between the door pannel and crank.

There are 7 screws all together to remove the door pannel. First, you have to take off the hanlde for the door. the 2 plastic covers on the handle pop off revealing 2 screws on the top and bottom, remove those. then behind the the door handle on the inside, pull it as if you were to open it and there is a screw that you have to remove. Then there are 2 screws on either side of the door pannel, both are farily close to the top, remove those, and then its just a matter of popping the pannel off. start from the bottom, pop it off then slide it up. becarefull, after the door panel is free, there is a connection for the power doors and windows unhook that then the pannel will be free. after that the speaker will be right there and its common sense on removing that. good luck.
