24F or 35 is the battery size for the Honda CRV or a 12 volt battery. As for the type You can get a dry cell battery.

To replace the battery, please follow the steps below:

1. Look for the battery on the driver's side, just behind the slanted headlight box.
2. Remove the metal holder with a flathead screwdriver. Take out the long screws that hold the plate in place.
3. Disconnect the cable ends from the battery terminals with a battery terminal puller.
4. Lift the battery out of the compartment. Keep your gloves on at all times to avoid getting acid on your hands.
5. Use a wire brush to clean the surface that holds the battery. Wipe it down with a damp cloth and let it dry.
6. Clean the insides of the connector cables with a pointed wire brush and dry them off with an old cloth you can throw away.

The correct size is a group 51R, so for example a napa battery would be a 85-51 R.

Your Honda takes a group 35 battery. It's a common size and any store that sells batteries should have it in stock.

Cars usually call out for a specific size that fits in the tray. However sometimes people buy a "cheaper" battery (sometimes it is smaller) The bigger the battery the stronger it is (more cranking amps) It should last longer especially in extreme weather, freezing to 110 summers! As long as it fits and the cables reach, you should be fine.
