Orange warning light on dashboard

Easy one. You pressed (or someone pressed) the ECT button located near the shifter, in the console, or on the shifter itself. It changed the shift pattern of the transmission to a higher shift point for more performance (but uses more gas). Look for the switch and with the engine running push it until the light goes off.

your description is very vague their are 2 that might look like it- one is a check engine the other is a battery if you look in your owners manual it will tell you what the symbol is also the following link has synbols and their meaning

According with the S60 Owners Manual... warning symbol in center of dashboard...
This symbol shines as a red or orange light depending on the severity of the discovered fault.
Red symbol - Stop the car as soon as possible in a suitable location and read the message shown in the text window.
Orange symbol - Follow the instructions shown in the text window.

if its on when the brake isn't being depressed its a tail light bulb has blown out, if its on when you apply the brakes , its a brake light bulb

Make sure all of your rear lights are working. Taillights and Brake lights.

hi, all lights the first and important battery light this shows RED when the alternator NOT carging:
the oil light shows ORANGE LOW on oil:
the engine managment light shows when engine sensors detect faults shaped like an engine ORANGE light
head main beam BLUE when ON MAIN BEAM
indicator FLASHING GREEN light
hazard warning RED light
brake fluid low light RED looks like this ( )

You have a burnt out brake or tail lamp bulb.

That light indicates that the "catalytic convertor" has over heated!!!!, however at a guess i rekon the wire or wires have come off the sensor causing the light to come on.

You have a Rear Brake or Driving light is Out, Replace the Bulb.. Or check the wiring at the rear, at the lights.

It's to do with traction control...
usually means the skid control has armed itself because the car has detected a lack of traction (if you skidded) or the car has sensed it is cold
