You should have a purple wire that goes to the starter, plus the red one from pos on battery. I believe you will have a red wire and a black w/red stripe or red/ w black stripe gong to the alternator.
As far as the distributor I think factory was a big pink wire. But you can also just run a wire from the fuse box that would only be hot with key in on position. If you need more help please ask.
Make sure you have your seat belt on and hang on to the steering wheel when you drop the hammer on that 383cu.
Good luck and enjoy.

I have a 1989 ford econoline 350 motorhome and i need to know what is the type of alternator fan belt or the excat number of the belt

Just go to an auto parts store/distributor and tell them you want a fan/alternator belt for a 1989 Econoline with a 460 engine. That's all you have to say. Speak nothing of Motorhome, it really screws them up when you say that. All the have to know is that it's an Econoline 350 with the 460 engine. I have 2, an 87 and 88 Tioga with 460 engines and I never mention the word motorhome. I'm scrapping the 87 and have all kinds of stuff to sell from it. A complete front end with fenders, hood, doors windshield and bumper in good shape. I'm putting the seats and refrigerator in my 1975 18 foot Midas on a Dodge chassis, now with a small block Chevy 383 and 700R4 trans in it. Already put all the cabinets and booth from the 87 30 foot Tioga into this little 18 footer. Oh, the front end fits from 83 to 91.

Can a ford mustang 5.6 liter cylinder head go into a 2000 crown vic pi 4.6 liter with both heads bein different liters?

No. Also, displacement matters little, block casting is everything. example: small block 400CID heads and crank can go an a small block 350 end displacement is 383 due to longer stroke and combustion chamber.

Installing 85 Iroc 305 into 57 Chevy; need wiring diagram to create EFI harness from car harness

Check out faxonautoliterature.com. They have an assortment of literature that should be able to get you up and running. There are original GM dealer service manuals for both vehicles which would have complete wiring diagrams. They list a separate wiring diagram book for the Camero. They have 2 different books on swapping newer GM engines into older GM vehicles. I've used them before and had excellent service. Hope this helps.

383 SMALL BLOCK CHEVY

383 is a modified engine...since it's not stock, you need to learn to "read" spark plugs. In reality the # used in any engine is a starting point for experimentation. Begin with factory plug, If too white or too black change heat range 'till you find a # that gives mostly white porcelan with light tan tinge. That will be a good plug to run.

95 camaro 3.4 liter no spark in cylinder 6 wire

Check distributer cap, rotor, and specially near wire number 6. remove the cap and visually inspect looking for signs of burns or small craks. check the top of the cap to see if the coil wire has signs of contact. On the rotor, check the metal piece for any signs of burning. Hopefully this will help. Did you check the gap on sparkplug six ?
