2000 Jaguar SK8 Cant open trunk...batteries dead.

The trunk does not have a key entry. It only opens by remote. Because the battery is dead, the remote will not open it. The battery is located inside the trunk, so I can not recharge because I cannot open the trunk. I am wondering if there is a manual button located inside the car that pops the trunk. I have already checked the glove box and above the license plate.

I just found the answer. Between the X and K is a key hole.

Man this rating system sucks. You do what you can for someone and they drag your rating down because they figured out where to put a key! Why wouldn't she just leave the rating blank? We are being rated by people with no clue.

You can charge the battery from the engine compartment. check your owners manual that is the correct place to jump and to charge the battery.

Hi there, I only bought the car with the valet keys so could not open the boot (trunk) went to change the battery and like a fool closed the lid. No key to open lid no remote or button in the car (no battery).

I come up with an idea realising the positive maybe touching the earth I fused a flying lead got a battery. lifted the bonnets negative of the battery to the bonnet catch (earth) removed the electric seat fuse and liven'd up the car by pushing the wire on the supply side of the fuse to open the trunk then change the battery it worked for me (twice).

My battery is dead on my 2000 jaguar s-tpye 3.0. how do i open the trunk and get to the battery and i think the alarm might have been set off.

You should be able to open the trunk with your key or wireless remore. As far as the alarm, you will probably have to reset that. It should tell you the process in your owner manual.

How do i release open the trunk if the battery is dead and I don't hav the key?

If your battery is dead, and you don't have the key, you are not gonna get the trunk open. However, if the car is unlocked, and you have another vehicle to power the car by jumper cables, you may be able to use the button inside to open the trunk. Otherwise, you'll need to install a new battery.
