Hyundai Tiburon 96-01 uses a outer hub system. To replace front rotors. You'll need front bearings as well. The bearing and hub will need to be pressed out of the spindal. Then replacement of bearing will need to be pressed in. From a shop.Or they can use a slide hammer to remove ,but damages the bearing. Best to buy bearing and have cash for an alignment job too. Then replace front rotors. Rotor and hub install is ez after you get bearing pressed.Rear rotor and bearing are bolt on though.

Can the glove comparmont blowout during airbag explosion

It shouldn't but never haven seen the setup below the dash in the model concerned this should be checked by yourself. Airbags are only designed to blow out the top of the dash to protect the driver/passenger.

My 97 hyundai accent i have change 2 back wheel bearing, But when i drive it i still hear funy noise coming from back wheels. What should i do?

Hello,

My name is mike, I will try and help you out best I can with out of course seeing the car in person.

If you did your own wheel bearings or had them done, the noise could be from the packing of the bearing, might not have been packed right with proper grease, or the housing around inside where wheel bearing goes could be worn out. Now, before we go there, first have your breaks checked out, sometimes the noise comes from the rotors, as if break rotors are worn or warped will sound like a wheel bearing. Even if you pads are goods, rotors can be worn or warped and cause this same similar sound. If breaks and rotors check out ok, then wheel barring housing might need to be fixed, they have have sleeves they can put in housing to help this, with out have housing bored out or replaced. I hope this helps some. Best to have this checked out like at Les swab who deals with breaks and rotors and bearings. And they are knowledgeable . I hope this helps turn you to the right direction. Mike

When I step on the brake it pushes back and jerks before coming to a complete stop. All fluids and ABS fuse checked. HELP! Trish from Maryland

Your brake rotors are warped. Which causes a high spot on the rotor, so when you apply the brakes, the pedal will pulsate. You'll need s new set of rotors.

Safley jack up vehicle.
support vehicle on safety stands
remove front wheels
Remove 2 bolts holding the caliper to the caliper support.
remove caliper
remove old brake pads
remove 2 bolts holding caliper support to the spindle

sand any and all rust from wheel hub
apply a liberal coating of antisiezing compound.
replace rotor and one lug nut to hold rotor steady
replace caliper support
replace new brake pads making sure squeel sensors are on inside upper corner, also make sure to apply caliper grease to caliper slides and pad sliding surfaces push caliper piston back.
replace caliper
replace wheels and torque to specs

One mistake could cause you your life or injurt to your persons or someone else. if you are not comfortable undertaking this task please consult a professional.

Replacing '97 Hyundai Accent Front Brake Rotors

This is not the first mis-guided post I've seen about this. A screwdriver for the set screw is fine on some models. Other models the front wheel bearings must be removed and usually replaced to get the rotors off. The bearings are fairly cheap at the local napa etc.. So just replace them. Be careful of the advise given on here. People think that one answer covers all models. This is not the case. Usually given buy a youngster who honestly beleives hes a mechanic.
