SOURCE: trying to locate the drive pulleys for a

I purchased a used 2003 Mazda Protege w/170k on it. I knew it had a rod knocking at the time. It was still running. I bought a used motor 35k from Japan. I swapped everything But could never get it to run. I took it to the Mazda dealer (why not just flush cash in the toilet) They lied and said it needed a new computer.
Finally discovered that the harmonic balancer / lower pulley had Japanies spline for the crank position sensor. It ran great after I put the old pully on. In the intake the butterfly valves had come lose and fallen into the intake valves and shredded and then gotten into the crank. If you are hearing rattling remove your intake and you will find the butterfly valves have come loose.

An owners manual may tell you all about the service on the powerwinch. If you do not have one, look here.

Idler pulley bracket where can I buy one or is there an alternative to it

you need to post year, make, model and what engine?
also which idler pulley? I'm guessing you're probably looking at the accessories drive belt ("fan belt") idler pulley bracket.
Is this a serpentine belt.
a lot of cars use Idler and or tensioner pulleys on the timing belt/chain. the Idlers often don't have brackets
why are you replacing the bracket? did you break it? or do you just need the pulley? I normally replace both pulleys (idler and tensioner) when replacing either one.
anyways.. need a lot more info to answer your question

Belt tensioner is very noisy, I need to know how to replace it ?

this is a fairly straight forward repair. diagram the routing of the belt, remove the belt, i believe the tensioner has a square 3/8 drive hole you can put a ratchet in to unload it. then unbolt the tensioner. i wound also recommend replacing the idler pulley at this time. you will need to know if the pulleys on your engine are smooth or grooved when buying the parts

Can you tell me where I can print instructions for free to help me change my timing belt in a 93 ford festiva

Here are the instructions for removing the timing cover, and for replacing the timing belt. If this is helpful, please click my accept button! Thanks!
Remove accessory drive belts.
  1. Remove water pump pulley to pump hub attaching bolts, then the pulley.
  2. Remove right inner fender panel to gain access to crankshaft pulley.
  3. Remove outer crankshaft pulley attaching bolts, then the outer stiffener/spacer and outer pulley
  4. Remove inner stiffener/spacer, attaching screws, inner pulley and baffle plate.
  5. Remove attaching bolts, then the upper and lower timing covers.
  6. Reverse procedure to install. When installing crankshaft pulley, ensure curved lip on baffle plate and deep recess of inner pulley face outward

  1. Remove timing belt covers as outlined previously.
  2. Remove timing belt tensioner pulley attaching bolt, then the tensioner pulley, spring and spring cover
  3. If reusing old belt, mark direction of rotation on belt to aid installation.
  4. Remove timing belt from crankshaft and camshaft sprockets.
  5. Check crankshaft and camshaft sprockets, tensioner pulley and timing belt for wear or damage. Replace components as necessary.
  6. Align camshaft and crankshaft sprocket timing marks with marks on cylinder head and oil pump housing
  7. Install timing belt. If reusing old belt, ensure belt is installed so that direction of rotation mark made during removal is positioned correctly.
  8. Install spring and spring cover onto tensioner pulley, then install pulley and attaching bolt. Do not tighten bolt at this time.
  9. Install tensioner spring onto anchor, then tighten pulley attaching bolt to torque listed at the end of this section.
  10. Reinstall timing belt covers.

Font seat belts

The 91-94 had a motor in the door running a long screw drive. The seat belt anchor moved along this screw drive, when you opened or shut the door the seat belt anchor moved from the rear upper corner of the door to the front of the door allowing you to get out without unfastening it.

The screw and the motor are both subject to failure from age and use like all mechanical and organic things. If you go to getsaturnparts.net you can buy a new replacement, I think they cost more than the current value of the car. If you get one out of a junkyard, most likely it has outlived its service life as well.

If your car has low mileage and was always kept indoors, possibly the mechanism is still good and you can check the fuses under the hood and just to the left of the passenger's knee under the velcro door and replace the fuse. I think you will find however that the fuse will just blow again under the strain.
