Have a 2007 Georgetown SE Forest River RV. Hydrolic levelers were working and retracted fine. Went to park unit on a non level surface. Back jacks fully extended but front ones half way. Went to retract all the jacks but not working. Tried to then put out the bump outs they too didn't work. Checked all fuses under stairs under dash even reset the breaker under the stair but not working. Reset level panel lights on but jacks not working nor bump outs. Could the breaker be done? What else can I try?

SOURCE: The convertible top of my 2003 z4 won't retract.

I have this same vehicle and have had some problems with my top as well. Apparently, it is pretty common as I was recently talking to a shop owner with the same model and I were comparing notes. First thing to check is that the two "nobs" in the trunk are not rotated. The two nobs I am referring to are located on the top of the trunk when opened and when moved, either drop or lower the compartment into which the convertible top drops into when lowered. If these nobs are not turned so that the compartment is available, the top will not work. I have always wondered why they even installed those, but I was told it was so that we could have that extra 3" of storage space if absolutely needed. If the nobs are in the right position and your top is still not working, you can manually drop or bring up the top by turning the red handle (also located in the trunk near the convertible top storage) so that it is no longer flush, but turned so that you can see the 'O' shape. This has been my only option when my top started acting up in the middle of a Florida thunderstorm. Fantastic timing these things have. I hope this was helpful. If you are like most others who own the z4, or any bmw (or even a vw), you know that the mechanics (engine, etc.) are great in the fact that they rarely, if ever, cause any issues, but silly things like the stupid cup holders (don't get me started) and eventually bigger, but still aesthetic, items liek the top are the first to go. Would still never trade the z4 for a sedan.

SOURCE: My dash lights don't work.

this got easy after a while 2 ways, i had friends who would not take the time to spend 8dollars to buy a harness connector for a new cd player and would splice everything together like takeing the red and yellow wires and connecting them all together as one. this drains ur battery unless ur cd player can completly power down by the power button not all do... but keep this in mind on GM cars the 2 wires of the same wires like purple the one with a black stripe is ground they go together stripe on stripe also there is 2 extra wires one is ORANGE and BROWN u dont need these dont even mess with them even if u have a connector block them off THESE TWO COLORS IS FOR FACTORY STEREO IF SO THESE WIRES CAN AND WILL MAKE IT SO U DONT HAVE DASH LIGHTS so always buy a connector ond dont mess with these wires block them off and dont ground them out.

SOURCE: My 2003 GMC Yukon XL Denali low beam headlights do

The problem is likely your multi purpose signal light switch. If you take the lever and move it from hi to low beam will the low beams come on? It is common for this multi purpose (real expensive ) switch to fail after a period of time! The steering wheel may have to be removed, to change it. The air bags will also need to be disabled so as not to active them while removing the switch.

SOURCE: How to disable alarm system. The alarm went off

okay, this alarm reset is done by turning the key on and pushing the reset button a few times, you will need to try this a few times to get the correct number of pushes, for example turn key on and quickly push 3 times and if that doesnt work retrey it and push it 4 times, take note that every time you try you need to turn key off and then on again before you push reset button,i know it can be set to 1- 2 -3 or 4 pushes to reset, this is programed at the time of install, most installer dont set it or tell you so you will need to try all four. good day.

Should an RV trailer be storedin a level position?

The RV should be parked as level as possible. If you do have a slope, keep the fuel tank at the lower end so the fuel doesn't shift toward the engine end. ... Use leveling blocks or landscaping when storing your RV. Do not use hydraulic jacks in storage

RV not level when jacks go down. Seems like jacks are leaking or retracting slowly. Does the HWH system need to be calibrated once in service?

Your hyd system has manually operated bleed valve that will allow you to retract the cylinders. Opening this bleed or dump valve will allow the oil to return to the tank as the springs pull the the jacks up. The dump valve will be opened electorally when you normally raise the jacks. This dump valve may be leaking by or the manual valve on it may not be completely closed. You did not mention whether all jacks affected or just one. If only same jack affected, problem may be with just that jack. These are one way pressure cylinders; so if jack cylinder seal is leaking, there should be oil visible on the ground or on jack cylinder. If you have additional problems contact the HWH service center for troubleshooting. They are very helpful and back there product exceptionally well.

I have a 1995 Fleetwood Bounder with 2 of the 3 hydraulic jacks leaking down after leveling the motorhome. what would be the cost to replace the seals in them.

If the Jacks are part of your RV than RV dealership will be able to quote you a price if you give us bran information of the jacks someone might be able to to help you do the research to figure it out but after RV isn't that high off the ground a couple of bottle jacks it will keep you level and if you buy a bottle of Jack from a resale shop they can range from $9 to $80

How do i drain the transmission fluid on a 2001 daewoo lanos?

Transmission fluid is drained by removing the bottom pan off the transmission. There is no drain plug. If unobstructed by a crossmember, support or the exhaust, you can do this your self. Obtain a filter and gasket set, 1 can of brake cleaner, and 1 gallon of recommended transmission fluid from local parts store. Remove negative battery cable. Raise and support front of vehicle using jack stands or ramps. Set parking brake.

Loosen bolts 3/4 way around pan and put a catch pan beneath trans. pan. Slowly loosen remaining bolts until fluid begins to drain from 1 corner, loosen as it drains until you can remove pan. (its messy no matter how careful you are) Clean pan out well using brake cleaner. Clean outer rim/gasket surface of pan and mating surface of transmission thouroughly as to leave no evidence of old gasket or sealant down to shiny metal. You can use a bit of fine sandpaper or steel wool to help. Do not oversand. Clean all surfaces completely finishing with a wipe off using brake cleaner, make sure pan and trans. mating surfaces are dry and free of fluid. Install new filter in transmission, then gasket and pan as advised by instructions in filter/gasket kit. Re-fill transmission fluid through dipstick hole marked TRANS or TRANS FLUID in engine compartment using a funnel in dipstick tube. Put in about 2 quarts, then start engine in park on level surface. Put in SMALL amounts of fluid , re-checking level continuously until proper level is reached. Drive car 10-20 miles and re-check fluid level again, add accordingly. DO NOT overfill transmission, as seal damage will result. If you overfill, drain small amount off by loosening pan bolts slightly and jacking up one side of vehicle to make gravity force some out. Let us know how you do :)

MY CAR STARTS BUT I HAVE NO GEARS BUT WHEN JACK IT UP BOTH TIRES OFF THE GROUND THE GEARS WORK. WHEN I WAS DRIVING I LOST ALL GEAR

Do you have forward and reverse when the wheels are off the ground? It is possible you have lost hydrolic pressure. Check the fluid level by letting the engine warm up, applying the brake, and then run the gear selector through the full range of gears, pausing a few seconds in each gear. Put it back in park but leave the engine running. Then check the fluid level on the transmission dipstick, twice. If it is low, add some and that'll likely fix the issue. If it is full, then you probably need a new transmission oil pump.

2002 chrysler sebring top retracts fine but requires assistance to close. whining from hydrolic motor heard on driver side.

Low fluid level in the pump resevior due to a leak at a hydrolic cylinder allowed air instead of fluid to fill the cylinders.
I then removed the pump from its mounting and elevated it as high as the connected fluid lines would allow, removed the plug, filled with trans mission fluid to within a 1/4" of the fill hole. Then cycle the top pausing at each end for 15 seconds to allow air to purge from lines & cylinders.
Recheck fluid level and plug fill hole.
Note: As of 1/18/2010 the cylinders for this model were on nationwide backorder and 300 request were in front of mine at the dealer level.
Good luck with your search for parts.
