My 94 Chevy c1500 v6 pickup truck is having issues with firing. 1. it started miss fire ( startes up fine but while its running I hear a pop and right then the motor sounds like it was cutting out, but continued running..) 2. I replaced the cap, rotor, plugs, wires. (still nothing and still making electrical pop sound) 3. went to go move the wires around while the truck was running and got shocked. (it was a very powerful shock...) 4.now truck doesn't want to start unless I'm flooring the gas, once I let off of the gas it shuts off ( hard to tell now??????????)

The only thing I know of, on a gasoline engine, that will bite you is secondary ignition voltage. What about your ignition coil? If the vehicle will run, raise the hood in the dark, look for fire/spark jumping around.

Sounds like your fuel pump is going out on you. Check your fuel pressure. You should have 40 psi when the key is in "on" position. You should have no less than 5 psi under that when it's running.

SOURCE: motor missing on my 1995 3/4 ton chevy truck.

compression test the cylinders... could be gasket / valve leakage so its worth a try. if low readings on any cylinder then remove head to find out problem.

You need to have the ignition control module checked (It's inside the distributor)

Fire in the engine

I had a 1997 Chevy c1500 pickup and it did not fire. Turns out the ground wire from the battery was bad. Replaced it and runs fine now.

My 99 chevy blazer 4x4 misses and shuts off some times back fires through the exhaust

Usually, an engine that backfires thru the exhaust is a sign of ignition problems.
Assuming you have the standard 4.3 V6, you should have a flat distributor cap and standard rotor.
I would start there.
The cap could be shorting out inside and making the coil fire the wrong plugs at the wrong time.
It could also be other issues with the distributor or the ign module.

Truck misses

possibly a head gasket going bad before taking off one morning pull the plugs don't know if u have the v6 or the 4 banger based on ur info but 1 or 2 of them maybe getting water in the cylinders and after running for awhilethey dry off & start firing pulling the plugs is ur easiest way 2 check ur problem now or later!!!!!

Hesitation , skipping, engine cuts out when accelerating

Im having the same issue I believe. I have a 94\' Chevy 1500 and when i accelerate it will jerk like the gas has cut out but it wont stall. It just jerks and slows me down. It only seems to do it when going up a hill. I feel like it could be the fuel pump or possibly some intake gaskets?
