I have a 1991 Mustang GT, and it runs awhile but goes dead,I have replaced the fuel filter and that did not stop the problem. The car runs about 5 or 6 minutes but shut down and will not restart, but will restart after about sitting about 10 or 15 minutes.What's my problem?

Test the fuel pressure first. use a guage and watch it till engine dies. also the guage has a bleed off hose, run a small amount of gas into a cup and check for water

what about the idle air control valve,for a 95 they should be adjustable. (some parts have a tiny access hole).then there is the EGR when you running and coming to a stop there are time the pintle doent close on time, you can try do disconnect the line to the EGR just to test it out to see if the fault is there but do not leave disconnected not only is it emission violation but it can make combustion so hot internally as to put a hole in the piston but just to test on coming to a stop sign to see if the problem is EGR related.
If you've recently added (or oiled) a cotton air filter like a K&N, extra oil can foul the MAF sensor causing drivability issues. Most helpful thing you could do is pull the codes though and post them on here, as it could be many things... bad O2 sensor, intake leak past the MAF, failing fuel pressure regulator (my main guess) and others. It'd help if you listed what engine your car has as well and how many miles it has, and if you have this problem under load only or even when it is in idle. Pull the codes.
Did you try checking or replacing the coolant sensor? I think you should replace it along with the thermostat. Are there any problems like sputtering or any unusual noises or symptoms? Smoke, anything?
the pump should stop when it builds up to the correct pressure. if it continues to pump and you smell fuel then you probably have a fuel leek. normally fuel consumption will increase with a leek, even slightly.
