The gizmo's that claim to increase your mileage do not work , you might as well hire a witch to cast a spell on your car. The best way to increase mileage is to make sure tire pressures are correct , remove any excess weight (junk) from the trunk , and practice economy driving habits. No quick starts etc.

The cam sensor is supplied a reference voltage by the engine computer and the cam sensor should generate a signal back to the engine computer above 50 rpm of the engine cranking. The problem could be a faulty purchased cam sensor (yes this happens sometimes although rare) fwiring connector problem at cam sensor or faulty engine computer.

Look on the passenger front of the engine compartment near the radiator. It will be mounted on a bracket, it will have two hoses attached to it, and have a single connector.
