My 02 Saturn sl2 will run fie then dies like vapor lock(no fuel). I changed egr, plugs wires fuel filter and scanner says codep1599 ?! I'm at a loss, without going from bumper to bumper

without going from bumper to bumper ????? You need to see what's missing after it dies , spark or fuel pressure . Don't guess ,test an if you don't know how ,take it to a qualified repair shop. Your fixated with vapor lock . Crank sensor , ignition module .

DTC P1599 will set if the PCM has detected an engine stall condition when:
• The engine is in run mode.
• The ignition voltage is present on circuit 439.
• The crankshaft position (CKP) pulses at the PCM are NOT detected.
DTC P1599 is a type D DTC.
The powertrain control module (PCM) has the ability to set a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) if the engine stalls when the ignition has not been turned OFF. This DTC may aid in intermittent diagnosis of a customer complaint of intermittent engine stall. The scan tool Failure Record information can be duplicated under the same stall conditions in an attempt to reproduce the occurrence. Since DTC P1599 is a type D DTC, the PCM will not command the malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) or SERVICE telltale On. This DTC can set due to driver error. For example, a vehicle equipped with a manual transaxle in which the clutch was released too quickly causing the engine to stall, will set DTC P1599.

P1599 and p2138?

P1599 - means that the computer detected that the engine stalled when the ignition had not been turned off.
Does your vehicle have a stalling problem?

P2138 - is the Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor 1-2 correlation.
The accelerator pedal has a sensor and the throttle actuator has the one as well. the computer expect thats both sensor will read the same as the accelerator pedal is operated. If one sensor read differently from the other the computer will set this code.

Long story short, you'll have to have shop to check this code out for you since a scan tool will be needed in the diagnosis of this code.

I got error code p1599

Before you replace the sensor, you should check the voltage circuit for the heater. The sensor may be fine and not getting voltage to the heater inside.
The code 1599 just means the engine has stalled at some point. It does not tell you why or how.
I doubt the two codes are related.

Location of the crank position sensor on a 96 Cadillac 4.0 V8

DTC P1599 Engine Stall or Near Stall Detected

Circuit Description
The diagnostic test checks for an engine stall or near stall and sets DTC P1599 if a stall condition is detected. A partial start where engine RPM exceeds 400 RPM and the engine does not start, will also cause DTC P1599 to set. This DTC is designed to capture snapshot data of the stall condition.

Since many things can cause a stalling condition use the snapshot taken of DTC P1599 to compare the values taken when the DTC set to the Typical Scan Data Value table. Look for conditions that could have caused the stall and how long ago the stall occurred.

3
Are any other DTCs set?
--
YES - Go to DTCs that are set
NO - Go to Step 4
4
Using a scan tool locate the Stall Data. This is the snapshot taken when the vehicle stalled and is not located with the Failure Records.
Check the MAP sensor display taken at the time this DTC was set.
Is the display more than the value specified?
95 kPa
YES - Go to Step 5
NO - Refer to Hesitation, Sag, Stumble diagnosis chart
5
One or more of the following systems may have caused the stalling condition.
• Fuel System.
• Idle Speed Control.
• Emissions System.
• Wiring and connections.
Perform Fuel System Check chart, check Test Descriptions.
Was a fault found and repaired?
--
YES - Go to Powertrain Control Module Diagnosis for Verify Repair
NO - Go to Step 6
6
Check for TCC improperly applied by a grounded TCC solenoid circuit or by transaxle hydraulic problems. Refer to Section 7 to diagnose.
Check ignition switch circuits for intermittent open to the PCM or ignition control module. Manipulate the key switch while driving to check for ignition switch intermittent or out of adjustment.
Check PCM ground and ignition control module ground.
Check for intermittent injector circuit operation.
Check the fuel PUMP ground for a loose or poor connection.
Did any of the checks above require a repair?
--
Go to Powertrain Control Module Diagnosis for Verify Repair
Refer to Diagnostic Aids

Received trouble codes p0410 and p1599. The car has trouble staying started and sometimes stalls at a stop. It also seems to idle up and down even when engine is running but, is in park.

P0410 Secondary AIR System Performance

P1599 Engine Stall Detected

Leave it to GM to use a computer code to tell you your engine died. The AIR system was a mistake they felt like was best corrected by continuing to use it. The system is similar to EGR function where it injects air into the exhaust for emissions. When it screws up, and it does often, it makes the car run horrible and is usually expensive to fix because the parts are hard to find. I would call a local GM dealer, give them the codes and see what they estimate the cost to fix it is. You might consider trading it in after that.

My car wont start my mechanic put it on machine the codes were P0133 P0341 P1599 P1620 he said i need a computer

ok now for starters, we will go with the most probable:P0341 crank position sensor. chances are it needs to be replaced. 2nd your check engine light has probably been on for a while right?! the P0133 is an o2 sensor code and would probably be good maintenance(but get it to run first. 3rd P1599 refers to it stalling out which if it died while running would most likely trigger this. and last but not least either your coolant level switch is faulty or you really do have low coolant. let me know.
