SOURCE: I have a 2001 Lincoln Towncar. The air bag light comes on

1st when the airbag light is on the system is disabled, so if u have an accident they will not work, as to the common cause read below.
When the airbag light is on it means a fault has occurred in the system and the airbag diagnostic monitor has disabled the system, the most common problem that turns the light on is a break in the connection to the steering wheel mounted airbag, this is due to a rotating ribbon contact that breaks under the steering wheel that connects the airbag to the wiring harness and the diagnostic monitor, the part is called th clock spring contact, a coiled up ribbon electrical contact that turns with the wheel

SOURCE: Cannot control my AC blower on my 2001 Lincoln

sounds like your switch contacts are shorted closed.. try disconnecting the switch for inspection and use a volt ohm meter to inspect switch across contacts...

Testimonial: "At first the blower stop working. When I ran a separate ground directly to the fan motor it worked but then I found out I had no control. "

SOURCE: the driver side power seat is not working in my

might be as simple as replacing the fuse #601 in the BJB (battery junction box) under the hood

this single fuse controls power to ALL the functions of the seat, up/down, forward/aft, tilt and back rest

additionally, there is only one ground!

if ANY of these work then the fuse and/or ground is not the concern

furthermore, since the seat actually contains 4 separate motors it is quite unlikely all 4 failed

so if the seat will not function in any/all positions then you are most likely dealing with a switch problem!

replace the switch and let me know your results

SOURCE: How to remove driver side power window switches in

To remove the window switch console from the drivers side door, gently pry up the console, start at the front of the panel, because this is where the friction fastener is. After this is pryed up, slide the unit forward and remove. Then you can remove the switch package. This package can be disassembled and you can clean the contacts to restore the switch back to operation,.

Testimonial: "Thank you. Once I know that the switch plate is gently pried up tp remove, the rest was easy."

2010 Lincoln Towncar - Drivers seat will move in all directions except it will not recline. How do you fix this and what might it cost to take it to have it fixed by a mechanic?

Could be the switch or motor. Do you hear anything when you push the button? If so, it could be the cable or gear. Most likely the seat has to be removed. (unless it is the switch). No matter what you are looking at a $500+ bill.

Is there a way to manually get my power seat to recline 2002 lincoln towncar

If the switch is bad, you can bypass it with a power and ground wire to the motor. If the motor is bad, you have to find it and disassemble it and turn it by hand. Usually the motor is at the back, bottom of the seat. Power seats are a pain in the rear. I pull the seats out to fix them, even this can be a major pain.

Air bag code 33 for a 2005 lincoln town car

2005 Towncar SRS Code 33 (3 flash + 3 flash, repeat this set for twice. then Beep 5 times pause x 5 = 25 beeps every 30min).

This means you have problem with left (Driver) side pretentioner (Seat belt retract system).
It doesn't mean physical belt or retract mechanism. It is just bomb wiring which is part of airbag system.
When airbag deploy, passenger must stay tight in seat otherwise body lean to front then slam back to seat by airbag.
if belt is loose or delay to lock, passenger's body rocks back and forth. So, system use small bomb (Fire power) to lock and retract seat belt when airbag deploy. There is small bomb and igniter in part of Seat belt retractor.
Code 33 is warning for this part on 2005 Towncar.(older model is different meaning in Ford/Lincoln, it's possibly passenger side airbag system for earlier model)
Before you work for any part of Airbag system and touch any "Yellow connector", * *Disconnect battery (negative side is good enough) and wait at least 5 min to clear all power in system**.(Airbag store back up power for few minutes to be able to deploy even in case if power disconnected)
by the way, you should move your driver seat most forwarded position before you disconnect battery to make it easy to work with seat belt.
locate driver side seat belt retractor (in center pillar between front and rear door, you may have to fight with weather strip)

Locate Yellow connector on bottom of Seat belt retractor (it's called "Pretensioner")it is located on very bottom of rear side of retractor.
only one yellow connector. (make sure your battery is disconnected)
Check its physical connection or looseness.if connection looks fine, you may have to replace whole seat belt ($180-$200 in Lincoln dealer)
You can check if pretensionor is good or bad by regular tester, but unless you know how, I won't tell (because I don't wan't you to blow out pretentionor).

We are looking at purchasing a 1999 lincoln continental and the drivers power seat will not move back or forward with the power switch. It work all other ways but back and forward. Any ideas on how to...

stay away from the front drive continental, the seat is the least of the problems on those cars. they have bad air ride suspension systems, and weak transmissions DO NOT BUY IT buy a towncar instead
