Try running a good fuel system cleaner through it. LOTS of questionable fuel going around these days. Consider running cleaner every other month to keep system clean.
The light is possibly and error code and you need to go to autozone or you dealer and have them read the error code, it could be something simple as a reminder to have your transmission serviced to some other issue, you will not know unless you have the codes read...

I don't know the vehicle but from your description of the Icon it appears to be telling you that the level of coolant in the cooling system is very low. Don't drive the vehicle until it is topped up and check throughly for any leaks from all hoses to see what is causing the water loss.

with great difficulty,tell me about it ------undo radiator mounts and jiggle it over a bit ,the support brackets on mine were pop rivited to chassis .remove the top bar that goes over the top of the rad first though.
