HDC relies on the data from the ABS sensors also, so you should check the ABS sensor cables and that the sensors have not been disturbed (the cables run close to the brake wear sensors). I would bet that they have either disturbed or disconnected the ABS sensor or damaged the cable. It could also be a possibility that they disconnected the sensor, ran the vehicle then realized that it was disconnected, but the fault was triggered, and it may be a case of just having to reset the ABS or HDC system to clear the fault. To reset this fault requires Testbook/T4 or a non-oem software/hardware.

SOURCE: Air suspension inactive, HDC inactive, ABS light on, Range Rover

Air Suspension Inactive usually means there is a problem with the Air Suspension. However, it will also come up when alternator or battery voltage is low, or when you reset (disconnect and then connect) the battery. To reset it manually: while in P(ark), turn steering wheel all the way left, hold few seconds, and then all the way right, hold few seconds. All the warning lights will go out. Most common failure is the passenger front air strut, since batteries are prone to leaking acid, it leaks right on top of the rubber airbag and burns through it. Dealer willcharge you one hour to diagnose, or you can easily diagnose this by looking at the ride height of each particular corner of the truck. If its sits low, or emits hissing sound when you park the truck, its leaking. If you keep driving with leaky air strut, you risk burning up the air compressor, as its working extra hard to compensate for the leak. Replacing the strut is easy 45min job even for a novice mechanic, and you can do it yourself. Strut can be found new for approx $750 online. If you are fed up with air suspension issues, there is a $700 kit that converts the truck to springs, and disables all of the air suspension. Look up Arnott Industires

SOURCE: 2005 LR3 Was having

Hello! Regarding the battery...The voltage regulator (inside the alternator) is faulty...It can be tested at any major auto parts store...

Lets talk about the fault lights...There were no fault lights before you changed the battery and appeared immediately after the new battery was installed; Or was there a time lag between the two events?

The trouble lights mean there is a problem with one or more of the sensors that monitor wheel rotation...With that malfunction the anti lock brakes and the hill descent control are disabled...Take the vehicle to a dealer or a specialist with the T4 or Auto Logic system and have them read the faults...You will not be able to access those systems with a generic OBD II scanner... More than likely the culprit is a wheel sensor...

2007 range Rover sport. With key off and out of ing. The 4 way flashers keep going, locks go up and down. And warning lights are on. No way to turn off unless to disconnect battery.

This may seem an odd suggestion but have you checked the hazard light switch on the dash and it's relay in the fuse box. Hazard lights are designed to work with or without the ignition key so you can lock and walk away from it when it breaks down.

Range rover sport SC 2008. Intermittent Suspension fault message amber.

Could be that you just have a bad sensor on that side they need to be replaced I don't know if there is anybody that can check the sensor itself that is usually the cheapest place to start in that situation

HOW TO RESET IGNITION IMMOBILISER ON 06 RANGE ROVER SPORT HAZARD LIGHTS FLASHING ENGINE WANT KICK OVER

There is no reset except to put the key in the ignition or use the key FOB, if that doesn't quite it then you have a fault that is triggering the system

Ihave a 2006 Range Rover Sport while driving the radio and a/c shuts off and the hazard light starts to blink, if I switch off it would not restart until completely cooled, What can I check?

Computer fault by the sound of it ,,,,happens a lot with newer cars especially if the battery has run flat, sorry but the only way i know of for dealing with these problems is to return the car to a agent and have it remapped to see if this cures the fault ,Not much of an answer i know but newer cars are just so software involved you do not need a mechanic but a computer nerd

How do you turn the airbag light off in a 2008 range rover?

why is it on? Is anyone sitting in the seat? If it is coming on itself while you are driving, something is wrong with the system and it must be looked at by a certified dealer. I need more information

Land rover discovery 3

You will not fix this yourself. You need to get the fault codes read by a professional shop that can identify the cause - most probably a faulty connection, or a failed control unit

The hdc light is on on my freelander ?

Hi:
I helped a friend with this problem. HDC is hill descent control, and a common problem on some Freelanders.
It could be a simple adjustment to your throttle cable, see this link:
