1996 Tahoe 4x4 5.7 Vortec dies when I turn the steering wheel periodically, when I start up and pull into the street, then will start up again and then dies, or if I get gas, and pull out and turn wheel it will sometimes die, feels like a hesitation going down the road. Replaced fuel filter, but still did it after, can't trust it now. Help

The 1990's chevy trucks(all of them) had fuel pump and grounding problems:

1. Check the fuel pump ground strap next to the gas tank as it could be broken from the connector or just loose.

2. Have a fuel pressure test done on the fuel lines at the engine top. (Note: if there isn't enough fuel pressure, replace the fuel pump.)

SOURCE: Tahoe 97 Fuel problems

Crank sensor has to be bad,or the ignition module.Remove the ignition module and have it checked at the parts store. If it checks bad, replace it,if it checks good replace the cranksensor. The cam sensor, cranksesor, and the control module control injector pulse, and coil spark.I would point more to the ignition module. But I have known the crankshaft sensor to do this also.I hope this was helpful,if so,let us know, thanks, and good luck.

I turned ignition off and lifted wheel concurrently, it slipped to a locked position which I can not undo, it is stuck in that position, and it is an uncomfortable driving position.

on the left side of steering column theres a lever. it located behind the singal light lever, if you pull back on lever you should be able to tilt wheel into postion you need, good luck hope this helps.

1995 Saturn engine died while driving - turns over but will not start.

Check to make sure that you did not accidentally push the alarm switch that is under the steering wheel. This happened to me and I spent over $200.00 on the recommendation of a street mechanic that told me that the ignition module was bad as well as the ignition coil. I purchased these two parts and still the car didn't turn on. I called the person who I purchased the car from and he told me about the alarm switch under the steering wheel. I flip the switch off and the car started. I got stuck with a new module as well as ignition coil. A word to the wize! Do not trust on street mechanic unless they have the proper knowledge and the equipment to troubleshoot different problems

My '99 Passat had been operating with no problems until two days ago when we tried to turn the key in the ignition to start the vehicle. Not only did the key not turn, but it seemed that steering wheel...

Your steering wheel is locked in place. You need to put the key into the ignition, then turn the steering wheel more towards the way it is already turned and try turning the key then in the ignition. The steering wheel should move ever so slightly and it should free up the ignition. Let me know how this turns out.

95 ford windstar dies when i turn the steering wheel hard

windstar has a pressure switch on the pressuer line to the rack and pinion, squeeze the plug and pull up to disconect it and see if it happens again. you might have a short in one of these wires or the switch ... to reach the switch it is mounted on top of the power steering rack so reach down behind the motor on the driver side or crawl under and reach up on driver side
