Send me an email address and I'll send along a fuse block diagram for my daughters 1998 Beetle, it's most likely the same in 2004. Compare the arrangement with yours.

The 1998 diagram doesn't indicate any fuse in the inside fuse block that controls the power windows (even though my daughters 1998 has power windows). There is a metal fuse on the fuse block above the battery that controls the cars electrical system, but the diagram indicates that this should only be replaced by a VW Dealer.

Maybe you can call the local VW Dealer once you have a fuse block diagram to refer to. They should be willing to tell you over the phone.

Where are the fuses to unlock the and windows in a vw beetle2000

The fuse block that contains the window fuses is located at the left side of the dash board. Open the door and remove the cover. There should be a diagram in your owners manual, and may be one on the inside of the cover.

Which fuse is the Anti Theft for a 1998 Volkswagen New Beetle?

If you have an owners manual a diagram of the fuses is usually listed there, also, the cover for the fuse box usually has a list of what each fuse covers. You can also go to the link below for a PDF document showing the locations.

Hope this helps.

The window switches quit working and the window is half way down or half way up! I looked for fuses, but the book don't really tell me anything other than above my knee cap on drivers side. Is there...

there should be a drop dpwn or pop out pannel just slightly under the dashboard on drivers side,or on some makes of car the right hand side.you can also find relay and, fuses under the bonnet.

Power windows, locks dont work on the drivers side. All the wires looked ok, changed fuse #28, but they still don't work? Any suggestions?

CHECH TO SEE IF YOU HAVE FUSES UNDER THE HOOD, COULD BE A RELAY.BUT IF ALL THE REST WORK THE DRIVER SIDE PANNEL COULD BE BAD.KEEP YOUR WINDOWS UP WHEN IT IS RAINING,TAKE A TEST LIGHT AND SEE IF THE PANNEL IS GETTING POWER

Dont know what amp to put where in my 1967 vw bug fuse box

According to the information that I have been able to find, they were all 8A fuses originally. It's never been that way in any of the VW's that I have ever owned, but here is a page from the original 1967 VW owner's manual. It shows fuse position, but only recommends that the driver carry spare 8A fuses. There is no mention of any other fuses.

2004 vw beetle instrument lights out, how do I replace?

Check your fuse block for a blown fuse. There should be a schematic for the fuse block on the inside of the cover and/or in Section 3.2 of your Owner's Manual. In my 1998 VW Beetle I'd check fuses #5 and #11.

Need fuse descriptions for the fuse box. some of the symbols on the card I do not understand.

Send me an email address and I will forward alond an image for the fuse block descriptions in a 1998 VW Beetle. Likely identical to the 2000 VW Beetle. Section 3.2 of your Owner's Manual also contains a pictoral representation of the fuse block, including descriptions for each fuse.
