SOURCE: Don't know the radio reset code. Is there a factory reset?

You need to call an Audi/VW dealership and have the auz code off the back or side of the stereo, which means you have to pull out the stereo. Also you have to give the dealer your VIN # and then they can look it up for you. They may try to tell you they have to hook it up to a computer, thats BS! They will try to get you to bring it in. You have to know what you are talking about when you call, or they will give you some lame excuse to get you to bring it in. They are required to give it to you for free if you tell them the radio code isn't in the owners' manual given to you with the car.

Good luck.

And search through the audizine.com forums or any other audi forum, it will tell you what you need. You may even be able to get someone who posts on the forum and works at a dealership to look it up for you, if you ask nice.

SOURCE: Setting the clock on an Audi A4 '98 1.8s

If it's an analog clock, pull out on the stalk closest to it (the small one protruding from the cluster), and then turn it to the right - that will advance the clock.

Can I reset the computer of my Audi A4 cabriolet B6 model,if yes ,what is the procedure.

Which computer (module) are you referring to?
Generally: disconnect the battery for 20 min. This often helps to reset the modules (computers).

Note: if not done, you should look for the radio code. Originally part of the paperwork that came with the car (often a rip out card in the operator manual). Some write it down in the manual. If the radio is without power for a long time, it may be required to enter the code again. If code is not available, the dealer can look it up by VIN number and serial number of the radio (need to remove radio typically to get the serial number).

My car radio is on safe mode

Happens when you replace your battery after disconnecting the battery cables. See your dealer or call Audi for the reset pass code. You will need the vehicle VIN# and possibly some #s off of the radio.

Battery dies on 2003 A4 audi

HI there,

I had the same problem with mine. Managed to determine that it was the rear brake light switch that caused a short. This meant that once the car was turned off power was being drained. We thought it might be the computer module shutting down which can take up to 10/30 minutes. But No. Replaced with a new Brake Light Switch, Problem Solved
