Same issue -- what did you do?
Did you try re-sycronising your fob? This just happened to me and it did the trick. Ther is also some strange process involving a pin number supplied with your handbook and switching the ignition on and off ut luckily didn't have to do that.
One day my Hyundai Coupe 2002 2.0 car alarm would not dis-arm. The remote was flashing but not turning the alarm off. I replaced the batteries and had the remote signal tested, but still the alarm would not dis-arm. There are no switches to flick off, no reset button and there was no way off cutting power to the alarm. The only solution was to take it to a Hyundai dealer ( with alarm siren sounding and lights flashing ) and have them disarm it. It took one guy almost 3 hours to disarm it, and cost me £150 ! I knew the guy at the garage, so that was with discount. The alarm is a joke and should not have been fitted in the first place by Hyundai!
