I suggest the public library. I have found it to be a great resource. Haynes published a manual for 1993 to 1998 "all models" # 50025 or search at the library for ISBN # 1 56392 315 7

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V6. Getting a P0320 after installing a timing chain with no start.

Question edited for clarity.

The timing is messed up. Normally it has to be TDC on the Compression Stroke of Cylinder 1. It is a FOUR stroke engine so there are 4 lots of TDC. Or you lock everything using a timing kit, which locks the crank and the cam sprockets..

A P0320 code indicates an issue with the signal that indicates the speed of the engine. This means that the ECM (engine control module) doesn't know where the crankshaft or camshaft is, so it isn't able to distribute fuel or fire spark plugs at the right time.

p0320 Code - Ignition/Distributor Engine Speed Input Circuit

How do i know if my 95 jeep grand cherokee laredo 4.0 inline 6 is an interference engine

You have a timing chain that is good for the life of the engine. The only thing that could need replacing is the chain tensioner if it starts to make noise.

Where is the timing chain located on a 1994 jeep grand cherokee laredo?

Behind the timing chain cover, front of the engine. You need to remove everything in your way to get to it.

Wont start 1996 jeep grand cherokee laredo inline six4.0 fuel inj

The first thing I would do since you think it was flooded is to replace the sparkplugs, sometimes if a spark plug has been washed out with gas you cannot get it completely dried out. After you replace sparkplugs try to start the engine. If the engine starts I would still recommend that you change your oil because of fuel saturation. If your engine fails to start I would suspect that you have a bad crankshaft position sensor as it is known to give problems. The crankshaft position sensor is located on the top of the transmission bell housing on the drivers side.

I have a 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee laredo. I am trying to find the coolant temp sender that is on the back of the block. Is anyone able to tell me where this is exactly? From what I have heard, there are 2...

if this has the 4.0 ltr, it is on the rear corner of the head near the corner of the valve cover,it screws straight down into the head and is actually a very small and slender sensor, and has a one wire connector and i believe the sensor connector is white, but the wiring connector that goes to it is black if i remember correctly, hope this helps
