2002 Chevy Silverado 4wd 2500HD. when I shift into 4wd HI going greater than 15mph, i hear a loud noise. then no more nosies and the 4wd works fine. dealer said it was fine and this is normal. none of my freinds with similar vehicles makes this noise. do i have a problem

if your looking for a brand there are thousands out there. but from experience, buying a ceramic brake pad will last longer and cause less noise than a semi-metallic brake pad will but it will cost you a bit more. Also, ceramic pads are more rotor friendly

Clicking, especially while turning usually more so points to a problem with the CV joint, or axel, the easiest way to test a wheel baring is to jack up that side of the truck until the tire is off the ground, leave the lug nuts on and try to wobble the tire in all directions, if everything seems solid it is not likely the bearing casuse the sound, another note when a bearing starts to go bad, it usually hums opposed to clicks. Im sorry i dont have a diagram, but this proceedure should get you on the right track in diagnosing the issure, good luck!!

hello, on this vehicle the oil pump is mounted behind the front timing cover. you will have to remove the front diff, the oil pan, then the water pump and lastly the front engine timing cover. takes about 12 to 12 hours to replace
