SOURCE: what is the best brake pads to use on a chevrolet

if your looking for a brand there are thousands out there. but from experience, buying a ceramic brake pad will last longer and cause less noise than a semi-metallic brake pad will but it will cost you a bit more. Also, ceramic pads are more rotor friendly

SOURCE: Left front wheel clicking. think wheel bearing.

Clicking, especially while turning usually more so points to a problem with the CV joint, or axel, the easiest way to test a wheel baring is to jack up that side of the truck until the tire is off the ground, leave the lug nuts on and try to wobble the tire in all directions, if everything seems solid it is not likely the bearing casuse the sound, another note when a bearing starts to go bad, it usually hums opposed to clicks. Im sorry i dont have a diagram, but this proceedure should get you on the right track in diagnosing the issure, good luck!!

2002 chevy silverado 2500hd transmission slipswhen driving

sounds as if your transfer case is gonna have to be inspected via inspection port for a worn or bent "finger" this is the thing that moves gears on shaft when pushed by 2wd/4wd handle/solinoid or a worn or broken pin "the thing gears slide back n forth on" this usually occurs after the vehicle has recieved a hard Jolt as in a minor fender bender , or your out crushing rocks on the trails all day and might have been just a little too hard on it on that last hill MAybe ? they just usually don\'t break or bend without a reason known to driver

I have a 2002 Silverado 2500HD and the 4 wheel drive will not engage. It feels like it is going in within the transfer case. I was wondering if the hubs or vacuum lines were frozen. However, I have had it...

it has nothing to do with vacuum there is a electric motor on your transfer case you will have to check the connector and see if it may be loose if it is not get a test light and back probe the plug get your wife to switch it into 4wd and test the circuit and see if it energizing if it is and it isnt shifting its your shift motor replaceit if it is not energizing its a relay,fuse,circuit breaker or bad wire

2001 chevy z-71 truck makes a loud noise when the a/c is on

Hi there;
Have you had any work done to your truck lately?
The noise you are hearing is the A/C pressure relief valve blowing off excess pressure. The thing you need to find out is why. There is either a blockage in the system or it is over charge causing the pressure to go too high.

Hope this helps

2002 Chevy Silverado clunking noice when shift from 2wd to 4hi

It is somewhat Normal Depending on how Loud the Clunking is. This is a Common Complaint on the Chevy 4x4's. I have verified this through the Dealerships here in Oklahoma and they all say the Same thing But, I am with you, They should go into 4x4 without that Clunk for as much as we pay for them.
