It is most likely the window switch, motor, or most likely the lifter assemby. The lifters are a known issue with the windows. If you have a meter you can check the power delivery to the motor contacts (rear door panel removal required). If you don't have a meter then you can try to listen for the motor to engage when you press the button. To check the button, you again need a meter to check continuity. Remove the centre concole, disconnect wiring harness from button, and depress. With a meter attached you can tell if it's making contact. Often, because of the locatin of the bottoms, they can get dirty or damaged and require replacement. Once you've isolated the faulty component, a good source for the replacement parts is Pelican. http://www.pelicanparts.com/bmw/catalog/shopcart/BE46/POR_BE46_ELswch_pg5.htm

BMW rear left hand side tail light and flasher not working also drivers window not working

The electric window could either be the fuse, switch, or window regulator motor at fault..Sometimes the window motor electric plug can vibrate loose or become loose from door slamming..Also the switch can become loose as well or contamination if you are lucky..You will have to remove door panel to inspect these components..and fuse panel..The light could be a faulty bulb..Check and replace bulb..before involving the signal indicator switch lever...If bulb is at fault go ahead and change bulbs at both rear sides..Do not try to repair signal switch because of air bag..If you can hold down on the turn signal switch and it works the switch is at fault...

My windows wont go up on my 2002BMW745I

Personally I'd start with checking the fuse panel,on MBnz there're fuses that handle power to l/f&r/rear,r/f&l/rear. If fuses are good &/or power is going through but no action from the window motors then I'd remove one door panel at a time to see where the electrical connections hook up to the window motors and see if motor receives power but no action then could be obstruction on the rails?. If no power to the motor,I'd connect direct power to the exposed motor to see if motor is good. I'd try starting from the fuse panel FIRST!. Hope this helps. Alberto

BMW x3 2005 electric windows full down and will not go up. Imobiliser also not working. Car starts ok and central locking also ok.

Hi Savageh. I would check the fuses in the glove box. You should have a fuse guide that lists which fuses are which. My diagram says fuse 57 is for your model year x3.

I have a 530i 2003 bmw. The rear windows and locks do not work, the front door windows and locks do work fine. We checked all fuses.

Rear Fuses ? If not....Pull out the rear seat bottom and check fuses there.

Windows are controlled by a module which may have failed. Only way to check is with a scanner for BMW.
