In my 2005 Kia Rio I think my coolant level is low cause its throwing out any heat...what may be the problem???

Not throwing out any heat could be several problems to fix and check. possibly check the Heat controlls on dash of your Rio it may not be functioning properly. Low coolant may cause engine to overheat. you may want to back flush the cooling system. Is the fan motor for the heater working.Possibly a vaccum problem, check vaccum hoses in engine compartment. are they all connected are they brittle or cracked, replace if you see visually if they are.

I think the coil pack is bad on my 97 escort, it shakes violently and stalls. Engine light came on cylinder 4 misfire. Changed spark plugs and wires. Need to know where the coil pack is and how to replace...

The coil pack should should be the device you plug your spark plug wires into. if it is round, then it is a distributor not a coil pack, if it is square and looks like there are relays coming of it, it is a coil pack. to replace this, you simply mach the wires to the corresponding diodes on the new device, unscrew the old one and screw in the new one. plugging in any connecters you might have forgotten.

I have a 1985 toyota with a 22R-E 2.4L.Im having acceleration problems. It will idle fine but when i apply gas it bogs down and will go out if i keep my foot on the petal.I have changed fuel pump and...

There could be a few things going on here.. but my first hit is a vaccum leak

Check the timing to see if it is timed correctly.

Then check for vaccum leaks.. since vaccum hose is relatively cheap I would reccomend you replace them. Sometimes they become brittle at the connection and will crack or split..

Also since you replaced the fuel pump.. did you clean or replace that strainer as well.. if not.. they can get very clogged.. and even collapse.. and did you swap out the fuel filter? If not.. it may be a good idea to do so..

Lastly.. you should check the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) as it may be out to lunch.

http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/CheapTricks/TPS/index.shtml

Also the flapper in the airflow meter may be stuck.. clean it and check to see if it is free.

Check for cracks in the hose between the throttle body and the airflow meter.

Good luck

When I start the car the RPM goes up and down, even if the engine is warm.

Start by checking for vaccume leaks. Most of the time you can hear them under the hood with the moter running. It sounds like a sucking noise. They are rubber hose that can be found at most auto parts stores. They become brittle due to heat and crack open or even just fall of. The reason I point you toward them if your sucking air it will throw the ECM off as it tries to level out the gas air mix>>>

No power after shifting and hitting passing gear just put in new plugs

Your vehicle is old enough to have old and brittle Vaccum Lines.... Buy a few feet of Vaccum hose and cut one piece at a time and replace all the vaccum lines on your entire engine. Never take a whole hose off completely when you do this. Only take one end off at a time, plug in the new hose, then do the same with the other end. Vaccum hoses are a major hidden "Problem Creator" that is over looked all too often.. It is a cheap fix, a often solution to solve your problem as described. Good luck...
