Wont start after a short trip and stalled and now after long trip

Must be cooled down after no start and when it did start and run, it will stall again. bought as used car from dealer. car run fine, temp gage normal (below middle) does not show overheating pass above half mark of gage. connect obd2 scan shows no dtc stored on both occasion of no start and on during engine stalled (brought scanner with me due to scanner could not detect any defect / no dtc code after no start) scanner does work, tried on other car.
(short trip: 1- 5 miles)
(long trip: 36 miles one way and 36 miles back)
an auto shop mechanic would not touch it until it completely dies after i told him whats been going on on this car and I dont really want to pay (no job) for diagnostic that my scanner OBD2 reads no codes (on green light) detected.

problem solve for now.

checked and replaced crankshaft positioning sensor.

98 malibu 3.1. starts fine then stalls out at operating temp and wont restart till cooled down. repleced crank,cam,air idle, o2 upstream, egr, and all gaskets for headset. not tripping any codes. scan tool...

A it's starting to run rough and stall what happens if you spray a little carb spray into the throttle body? Will the idle smooth out?

Have a 1998 Chrysler Concorde with 134,000 miles. About 2 months ago it started stalling intermitently. Would stall and I could restart immediately. Now it stalls once every trip at a certain engine temp....

your car problem is overheating, some car model like yours is designed to shut-down engine when engine temp. rise so as to avoid frying the engine. your engine overheating problem is attributed by one of these factors:
1. check or refill radiator water if less
2.check radiator cooling fan operation-if damaged pls. change or check the electrical system.
3. damage/ worn water pump-if damage pls. change the water pump.
4. check for any coolant leak somewhere the coolant line-pls. rectify the leak.
5.worn coolant reservoir cap- change if damaged.
6. clogged radiator-if clogged pls. change it.
7. damaged thermostat valve.

No crank and stall condition when hot

Swap the fuel pump relay with the A/C relay and see if the problem continues. the A/C relay and the fuel pump relay are the same. If it continues, the fuel pump may be getting overheated and will intermittently shut down. The CPS will certainly do something similar but you wouldn't have spark either.

You should try looking at the transmission fluide, it must be short. If it is, you should go buy a transmission fluid. And make sure you car pipes has no leak.

Initially starts fine, runs fine, then stalls at the first stop.

This is a fuel pump issue. i would replace it and the lines as well.also, a minor tune up wouldn't hurt as well. wires plugs distributor cap points etc...
