Do you have the four cylinder or the six cylinder? The six cylinder has 2 camshaft sensors - one for each camshaft. If you are still getting the code, you may have replaced the wrong one.
nowhere. it has a timing chain that should last forever as long as you keep your oil in good shape. doesn't matter if you have a 4 cylinder or a v6, they both use chains.
It has a timing belt. There's a Youtube on how to replace the timing belt for a 2002 Subaru Forester, if you're a self do'er. Your 2001 should be similar or exact to it.
You can wait its just fine, However if you ever start to notice oil leaking from front cover, then you will need to change. If there is no loss in power feel sluggish especially on take off, Its almost impossible for these type of chains to break. So enjoy until the wheel fall off..lol. good luck
