My 95 Buick regal with 3.8 engine stalls while i am stopping.

I have replaced the computer, ingnition control mod. and fuel filter. The code read crank sensor, i replaced it , same problem. It will run fine then just quit, usually when i am coasting to a stop. I even tried another battery and cleaned all the terminals and Battery. Fuel pressure is 45 psi . Any help would be awsome!!!! '91 Park Avenue, 3.8 liter. Best car I've ever owned, but recently having a similar problem.

Starts okay and runs fine when cold but as it warms up will begin to miss, occasionally backfire then stall while driving. I will usually refuse to start again.

It sounds like the timing is off when trying to re-start because cranking resistance seems low (cranks super fast) and often backfires if it fires at all. When cold, cranking sounds normal. If allowed to sit and cool for a couple of hours, it will start just fine and run normally for a while.

Temperature readings and fluid levels are normal.

2002 buick regal runs rough and stalls

Having a qualified repair shop do diagnostic's on the vehicle would be your best bet . Could be any number of thing's ,engine mangement system sensor's , fuel system , ignition system , engine mechanical systems etc.... Could be as simple as just needing spark plug's & wire's , fuel filter . But , some testing should be done by a qualified technician with a professional scanner .You don't want to get into a guessing game , one person tell's you it's this or that , because without doing testing they are just guessing .

I have a ford v6 3.0 dohc i changed plugs and wires fuel filter and fuel line pressure sensor had five codes come up the car starts properly took for a test drive and ran well but shut off when i stop

Code 191 is fuel pressure range-performance.
Code 172 and 175 are O2 sensors reading rich.
Codes 1132 and 1152 are O2 sensors not switching.
Under normal conditions, the fuel pressure should be around 40psi.
The pressure sensor is reading the pressure is too low or too high.
The O2 sensors should be switching back and forth between lean and rich. They are both staying rich.
Based on that info, I would reason the fuel pressure regulator has failed, or the return line to the tank is plugged.
The engine is getting too much fuel and the computer can't control it.

95 Regal 3.8 Runs great but today started

Try a new distributor cap and rotor button, they are known problem areas. If the problem is not in the distributor then you will likely need to replace the catalytic converter,a plugged converter will not let the engine get to full horse power because it can't get rid of the fuel as fast as it is coming into the engine, which is not a problem for the engine at lower rpms but it is a problem when you need the power.

1994 buick roadmasters stall when it warms up replaced pcm mafs ingnition module coil cap rotor idle control valve plugs wires will run fine then sputters and eventually stalls they tell me the catalitic...

You need to retrieve the codes using an OB11 meter. It could be a number of things causing your problem. It could be an o2 sensor, coolant sensor, idle sensor or the fuel filter . I doubt it's the converter. OB11 is not too expensive & easily read. They range in price from 40-200 dollars. The cheaper one will suffice. Good luck! PS I don't think OB11 will read on your car; however, check with any autoshop & they may be able to show you the proper tool to obtain the codes. Good luck!

My buick regal stalls when i take off from a stop light. not every time. It runs great on the highway. any ideas. Every time the engine light comes on , I head for the shop and before I get there , the...

My best guess is your not getting fuel so replace the fuel filter and do a top engine clean so that the computer can adjust the timing. with build up over time the gum and carbon buildup creates high compression and will cause the car to stall when you open it up from a dead stop. Also clen the backside of the throttle plate and replace the PCV valve let me know if this does not help.
