2000 toyota corolla ac fan motor intermittant or inop

The motor runs when you don't really need it and doesn't run when I need defrost or more heat or cooling. Banging on the dash in different places around the ac controls sometimes fixed it, or switching the ac fan switch to max and off, and operating the inside outside air lever all the way back and forth. None of these things work anymore so I only get heat and cooling from opening the vent lever.

SOURCE: Toyota Corolla AC/heater fan only works intermittently

I had the same problem on my 2004 Corrolla and ultimately it only worked on high. The dealer charged me $45 diagnostic fee and almost immediately told me it was a part called the blower resister. They knew the answer right there and then but only realesed it when I agreed to pay the diagnostic. They charged me 179.00 to fix the AC and later I found out the part cost $8.95 and a novice could have replaced it themselves.

SOURCE: vent selector inop

U have either lost the vacuum to the mode selector switch (in the dash control) or the vacuum mode selector switch is leaking in the ac/heater control in the dash, u can usually hear a hiss if it is leaking. the vacuum source is the engine, a small hose runs through the firewall on the passenger side to the switch from the eng vacuum source.

SOURCE: ac blows through defroster on max

The Climate control system in your truck has a gate that changes postition in order to change the flow of air from your face to defrost. The door is actuated by vacuum. Yours is still working otherwise it would be on defrost all the time. So you do have partial vacuum to the actuator but not enough to keep it in position when on high. Sounds like you have a vacuum leak but not bad enough (yet) to totally disable the gate.

Hi, the switch has a cable connected to it, it has definitely come loose from the plastic housing that controls the air flow, suggest open out the panel and reconnect the cable.

Temperature control does not work

There is a mode door in those that controls where the air comes out and there is a blend door that controls the temp of the air. If you cant change from hot to cold then the problem is the blend door. You should be able to see it behind the glove box. The glove box door has stoppers on it that you can remove so that it drops out of the way, then you can see the plenum that holds the heater core and the fan. There is also a filter in the plenum for in cabin air filtration. Change the temp settings and see if any of the levers on the plenum move. If they move then the blend door is either loose or broken off inside the plenum.

2000 corolla car stall when a/c button is pushed

sounds like the compressor is locked up,just unplug the wire at the
ac compresor,it will need fixed in summer ,$$$,but it will be ok with
no ac. The pump runs on defrost to dry the air in order to aid in
defrosting. That's why it does that on defrost. The sparks are from the
clutch trying to turn a frozen pump. Just unplug the pump.

What panel to use to remove excessive fog inside the car when it is raining

Defrost

If defrost doesn't remove the fog, or it gets worse with defrost on, you may have to have the heater core replaced.

The defroster in my 1998 Toyota Corolla stoped working. Nothing, no heat either. Could it be a belt, fuse or ?

Most likely it's time for a new blower motor. The blower motor is under the right side of dash pull the 2 wire plug off the motor and check for power and ground with a test light. Sometimes if you hit the motor with you hand and power on if the motor starts to run you going to need a blower motor but this doesn't always work test with test light is better.

No heat/defrost 01 corolla

Sounds like you have air trapped in the heater core when you flushed the heater core. loosen the upper most heater core hose and run the engine untill coolant seeps out. Wait until the coolant has reached running temperature.
