SOURCE: Stalling

Possibly faulty ignition module is the problem, stalls when engine is hot when you sit for a while it cools off and runs again until it heats up again, those are usually the symptoms of a bad ignition module and after a while it may give out all together and not run at all, usually if the module is at fault it shuts down the fuel pump so the engine don't load up with fuel, do to when engine continuously cranks over the injectors never stop squirting fuel and flood the engine do to lack of spark which is produced by the module, this could possibly be your problem.

SOURCE: 1994 GMC Sierra 1500 6.5 diesel runs for awhile then stalls

check your pmd switch. i had mine changed and it runs great. the problem is that it gets too hot and burns it up. be sure to move the pmd swith on the firewall away from the injection pump.

What reasons are there for a 1994 gmc sierra 1500 series not have any working low beams?

Bulbs or fuses are the first place to start. The next thing I would move onto would be the wiring harness. Clean out the coupler connections and make sure they are seated properly when you put them back. If you use a meter you can tell if you are getting 12 volts through the harness itself.

Good morning! Just to add to my previous question...1993 GMC Sierra 1500; I am experiencing a high pitch noise once the engine warms up. However, as I accelerate, the noise disappears. It returns when I...

sounds like a vacuum leak from a mad gasket
as the engine warms up the gap increases allowing the noise
on acceleration the vacuum is very low so the noise is not heard
check for hoses that are cracked , loose or fallen off

I have a 1994 gmc sierra 4x4 with a 350 the trans will not shift until you reach about 3000 rpm once it warms up it seems to shifts fine changed fluid & filter Thanks

You need to have the fluid changed and the filter replaced. This may or may not solve your problem but it is worth a try. If that does not fix the problem then it is time to take it to a professional.

Reset oil change milage

GM OIL LIFE SYSTEM - RESETTING
The engine oil life monitor will indicate when to change the engine oil - usually between 5 000 km (3,000 miles) and 16 000 km (10,000 miles) since the last oil change. Under severe conditions, the "CHANGE OIL SOON" light may be displayed before 5 000 km (3,000 miles). The vehicle must not be driven more than 16 000 km (10,000 miles) or 12 months without an oil change.

Reset the oil life monitor when the oil has been changed, use the following procedure:
  1. Turn the ignition key to the RUN position.
  2. Fully push and release the accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
  3. If the Change Oil Soon light flashes, the system is resetting.
  4. Start the vehicle.
  5. The oil life will change to 100%.
  6. If the Change Oil Soon light comes back on, the system has not reset. Repeat the procedure.
