My girlfriend has an eddie bauer as well. We had an issue where the blower motor for the heater comes on unexpectedly when the key is out and it's parked. And kills the battery ... in about 3 hours ... We pulled the 30A blower motor fuse under the hood ... I think it was called the ECC fuse Electronic Climate Control ... Go put that fuse back in ... sit in the car the blower for your heat may come on ... Maybe ... ours happened onlt 2x in 6 months, then it has been fine ... there are two possible solutions replace the ECC motor control (under the hood and fairly difficult to get to), or it could be the less likely Dash heat contol panel ... both are costly

SOURCE: I hear a clicking noice from rear passenger side

its your rear a/c actuator door in the rear RH side panel. The door is damaged or binding, replace it with a new one. To access this, you must remove the panel or top cover. hopefully this helps

My truck wouldn’t start it ended up being the Fuel relay switch but now when I shut the truck off it sounds like the fuel pump is still on is it kills the battery

Test the amps draw of the pump circuit in case it's drawing too much causing heat in the relay contacts making them stick when engine is off .

What is the amp draw when the car is on accessory with nothing on. just a estimation. My car is drawing 5 amps with the key in and turned and it killed my battery?

When you say NOTHING on, are you saying no radio or interior light? No light on in the boot (trunk) and no sidelights? If this is the case then a 5 amp drain does sound a little odd.

That said 5 amps should not be a great drain on the battery. If you have a 70 amper hour battery (Obviously, I don't know what car and rating battery you have, so I just took a general stab at a Mitsubishi Charisma which has a 70ah battery) then a 5 amp drain should take 14 hours to kill it stone dead. I imagine that 5 hours would put it in a pretty poor condition and 10 hours would probably have discharged it to the point where all your lights are dim and the vehicle wont turn over on the starter motor.

It does sound like you have something draining moe power than would be expected

I have a 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer 4 door. Recently, my roommate (the car buff) and I replaced the subwoofer. Now my battery is being drained. Things work fine once jumped. Can turn the car off and...

If it's a powered subwoofer yes. Powered subs draw alot of power, and if you wired it direct, yes it can drain your battery down. You need to wire it to a source that is powered only when key is on.

I'm getting excessive current draw with the key off car parked (1996 grand cherokee) thru the 50 amp fuse (#11 in the "power distribution center") Several items are listed including the on board...

A loose positive battery cable connection will kill a battery in short order. Tighten all the connections including the starter (usually hard to get at - and most likely the culprit).

It is a good idea to check the cables periodically for corrosion, this can also kill your battery. Once you have made sure the connections are free of corrosion and have a tight fit you can recharge your battery or replace it with a new one if the battery is damaged from being undercharged.

Another thing that will kill your battery is the charging system voltage regulator - if it dies your battery will run out of power just running the engine. Modern cars have this part in the alternator and you may or may not be able to replace the regulator. Take your alternator to a parts store or a shop and have it tested. If it is bad and you put a new battery in the car, the new battery will die.

I have a 2008 ford fusion and the battery keeps dieing because theres a draw somewhere but i have no idea where to begin looking. this is the 3rd battery in 3 months

wow 3 batteries in 3 months???? undo the positive battery cable & connect a test light in between the + cable & the + battery. the light will go on if there is a draw, start pulling the fuses out one at a time until the light goes out then you know what circuit the problem is on. make sure you take the interior light out as the door being open will cause the test light to go on. This is called a parasidic loss..
