My Windows in a 2008 mountaineer won't roll down. I've checked all the fuses and the master switch and the door lock still works except the passengers side door won't lock it acts like it's jammed

Principles of Operation
Power Window Operation The power window system operates under the control of the accessory delay relay. The smart junction box (SJB) grounds the relay coil to provide power to the power window system.
The power window system can be operated from the LH front window control switch or from the window control switches located on each door panel. The LH front window control switch has 2 modes of operation for the LH front power window, manual and auto. All other windows operate in the manual mode only.
Manual mode moves the window downward until the switch is released. The LH front power window will operate in the manual mode when the LH front window control switch is pressed to the first detent position.
Auto mode provides the one-touch down (OTD) feature for the LH front power window. The OTD function allows the LH front power window to be completely lowered when the LH front window control switch is pressed to the second detent position and then released. OTD is controlled by the LH front window control switch.
The power window system will only operate if:
  • the ignition is in the RUN or ACC position.
  • the accessory delay feature is in the active mode.

Where are the relays for the rear windows located?

There is a relay bank under the hood. According to TexasHonda
In the 03-06 models, a single relay provides pax, RR, LR window motor power. Relay is located in the pax Multiplex Control Unit in the pax side foot well. If you have power to the pax side window, relay is probably working.

The windows on my crv wont work

at all stations?
all fuses, in both boxes. (did you read the operators guide to find them,
some cars have a circuit break (thermal) for windows,
and is located in the fuse box.
all this info is at alldata.com
ill look. ill respond , as you are a pro DIY person, can read schematics. if not , its just a guessing game.
IT IS a FUSE, not a breaker. but each motor in door has CB.
UNDER HOOD 40am Fuse #13
then fuse 23 underdash and fuse 8 same.
then the relay.same place.
and the relay is controlled by, master station (drivers)
the driver location doesnt need the relay to work.
the relay feeds power to all other window controls
so the master station is unique.
log in to alldata.com and see the pages on power windows.
here are some tid bits.
battery pull warning

Resetting the power window control unit is required after performing the following procedures: Disconnecting the battery, Removing the No. 6 (7.5 A) and/or the No. 23 (20 A) fuses from the under-dash fuse/relay box or disconnecting the driver's door wire harness.
and
window relearn/reset.
Control Unit Reset
  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  2. Move the driver's window all the way down by holding the driver's switch firmly down; when the window reaches the bottom, hold the driver's window switch firmly down for 2 seconds.
  3. Move the driver's window all the way up by holding the driver's switch firmly up; when the window reaches the top, hold the driver's window switch firmly up for 2 seconds.
  4. If the window does not work in AUTO, turn the ignition switch OFF and repeat the procedure.
  5. Check the window and power door lock operations

Hi, I'm figuring all four of your windows fail to roll down. On most foriegn and domestic passenger vehicles after say 1987, the electrical current between the car's battery, the door mounted power window switch and the window motor itself controlled by an electrical relay. On your 2007 Honda Accord, this relay is located under the hood in the engine compartment. It should be located on the passenger side next to the firewall and on top of the inner fender inside one of two control module boxes. You can identify a relay as compared to one of the high amp fuses by its shape ( a square, black or dark grey box about 1"x1"), Under the cover of the control module box you will find the legend of what's what. After you locate the "power windows" relay, it can then be tested to determine its servicability. Also you must check the integrity of the power window fuse located at the fuse panel in the front passenger compartment. Also connecting wiring can be checked for loose connections, burned insulation. Also its always a good idea to apply electrical silicone grease between the relay connections.

Both windows dont roll down,is it the fuse or window switch?

You have a power window relay located in the engine compartment in the very back right rear.
The window relay is the one in the very front on the inside. Sometimes there will be relay which are the same , only used for something else in the car. You can unplug it and try it in the place of the window relay. There is an integrated control module located inside on the driver's kick panel, it's the large box. But it relates to other circuits. Do not forget to check the fuses.OH! the power window switch. .The power, I believe is routed through the driver's door switch.

Good luck. Start with the fuses, then the relay, switch, connections. All the simple things first.

I have power rear vents on my 98 Villager that does not operate. I cannot locate it on the fuse box to replace so i checked each fuse and none were blown. Where is it?

go to our site for help.

your owner manual has fuse diagrams.

the qtr windows go through the power window relay. If other windows work, not likely the relay or timer module.

you need 12 volts at this wire on the overhead console switches.

  • Measure the voltage between the power rear quarter glass window regulator control switch C903 , "O/BK" and ground.

  • If no 12 v, SERVICE the "O/BK" wire between the power window relay and the power rear quarter glass window regulator control switch.
The ower window relay is above and behind the fuse panel on the dash. 2 relays and turn signal flasher in same area. Turn signal light on to locate flasher. 2 bolts hold bracket with relays & flasher.

Where is power window control unit located

usually power windows have a relay that sends current to the windows due to the high current flow that the switch can not handle.
So, the switch works through a fuse and when you activate the switch it sends power to the relay. The relay then closes and sends power to the window motor. Look for a relay either in the fuse panel or in the engine compartment fuse/relay ox. check owner manual for location.
