I have a 97 Chevy lumina recently replace the motor with a 2002 Pontiac grand prix.. It ran good at first then start to idle and stalls in park ,drive..when i drive it i feel it loose gas cause the speed don't increase..replace tps sensor and pig tail connector, maf sensor, throttle, catalytic converter, no visible vacuum leaks, tried injector cleaners.. Need help from professionals

MAP , EGR stuck open and bad O2s can contribute to this issue as well . Need scan tool readings live pids for O2 and fuel trims .

the 3.1 had some EGR problems, EGR valve stuck open, blown diaphrams, Plugged passages Im not saying that is all your problems and I believe yours has whats called a linear EGR about $350.00 from the dealer (and that is the only place you ever consider buying such a critical part for the emissions system regardless of the cost)
That car is so antiquated as far as computers go that relying on the codes is nearly pointless! Map code can set because of low engine vacuum which you will have with a poor running engine, Check for 5 volt reference voltage at the TPS and MAP with the key on and engine off if no 5 volt reference I suspect a Computer. Computer Ground is on the Thermostat housing and needs to be clean and secure.
There is a legit test in the GM factory manual called the TAP TEST take the ECM (computer) and slap it with an open hand, if the symptoms change the ECM is bad it's very common in the early-mid 90s for the computers to go bad in one way or another the circuit boards come loose and suffer also from cold solder joints.
Make sure the wires are on the correct plugs and hopefuly you used factory plugs and wires and No split fire or bosch plugs only AC delco
Make sure you have good spark on all 6 cylinders.

Can you put a transmission from a 2002 chevy impala in a 1999 Saturn sw2

about replacing a transmission with one from a Junkyard or cross referencing them. and to show you that not all 4T65E transmissions are interchangeable, although they look alike. Guys with the comp g package or the Impala police option often find this out the hard way.
Your car and the potential donor car will have a tag in the trunk (usually under the spare tire cover) that lists the RPO codes for your car, along with your VIN. RPO=Regular Production Order. Several of these codes relate to the transmission, and you will need them to begin to find a proper match. If you can't find the RPO tags, you can look up the RPOs for a nominal fee ($5) according to the VIN number at the following website: www . compnine . com .
I know these transmissions are different in at least 5 areas, and you have to match each area for a proper swap.
FIRST is the transmission type, which relates to torque converter size, the strength of the internal gears, and the strength of the differential. Here are the basic types along with their RPO codes:
M15 - 245 mm (9.6 in) torque converter
MN3 - 258 mm (10.2 in) torque converter
MN7 - 258 mm (10.2 in) torque converter and heavy-duty gearbox and differential (see 4T65E-HD)
MD7 - 245 mm (9.6 in) torque converter (Chinese version)
M76 - 245 mm (9.6 in) torque converter (with all-wheel drive capability)
You will want a match these RPO codes.
SECOND is the final drive ratio. The PCM can detect the difference, and in some cars may not engage if the correct final drive is not present. Here are the RPO codes for the four different final drives used in the transmission.
FQ3 - RATIO TRANSAXLE FINAL DRIVE 2.86;
FR2 - RATIO TRANSAXLE FINAL DRIVE 2.93;
F83 - RATIO TRANSAXLE FINAL DRIVE 3.05;
FR9 - RATIO TRANSAXLE FINAL DRIVE 3.29;

THIRD is the converter stall speed. There will be small differences for most cars as it is based on car weight as well as final drive value and engine ratings. Reusing the cars original torque converter will address that area. Some indication of stall speed value is given in the K-factor information in the above gmtuners page. This bottom of this page from the gmtuners website will show you how to decipher the four digit code on the torque converter. http://www.gmtuners.com/gmtransinfo.htm
FOURTH, the torque converter needs to have the correct lockup clutch friction material for the PCM that controls it (regardless of HD nor not). This changed over the years. The newer ones can be used on older transmissions with calibration changes, but older type in newer transmissions will fail. Reusing the cars original torque converter will address that area.
FIFTH is area is electrical compatibility, and this is what trips up a lot of guys. 3 different electrical interfaces to the transmissions were used from 97-08. Some of these differences had to do with how the PCM determined what gear the transmission was in, or was commanded to be in. If you look on a GM parts web site, you will see that three different internal harnesses are available for the 4T65E. Each of the three harnesses is listed below along with the cars that use the harness. Your car and the donor car will have to match. My 1992 chev lumina apv van stalls everytime i put on the brakes at every red light it restarts after no codes are coming up what could it be?:

check to make sure the power brake booster is not leaking, do this by starting the van and just let it idle in park and push the brake pedal if the engine stalls or surges or you hear a sucking noise under the dash then replace the power brake booster if there is none of these systems then replace the idle control motor. Car starts, idles and revs fine when in PARK. Put car in DRIVE and try to accel, there is hesitation and very poor accel and won't go over 2000 rpm. Car is not throwing any codes. 2002 Grand Prix 3800...

You may want to have the catalytic convertor checked out. it may need to be replaced.They can cause a car to run hotter and have poor acceleration to the point that the transmisssion won't shift. Also fuel filter could cause this but not usually. Hope this helps please leave comment.

Anti theft security has kicked in. Refer to your manual for resetting or remove the battery posts for 10-15 mins and see if it clears.Please let me know if this helps

2002 pontiac grand prix. windshield wipers stop straight up on windshield when turned off.

If you have just changed the wiper arms, they may not have been reinstalled correctly.....hoever if it has just started happening,,,,,???

unfortunately this is a wiper motor fault....not the switch.......inside the motor is a PARK function.....this is where the wipers will stop after doing a swipe across the windscreen and the switch is turned off.........this park function is a section inside the motor that cannot be removed and replaced internally, and it would cost more than just a replacement wiper motor

My 1999 grand prix stalls and dies at stops.

My Pontiac Grand Prix is also a 99, it has 216,+ thousand miles on it, it runs great, idles good, I need to replace the oxygen sensor tho as it shuts off on me while driving or sometimes coming to a stop. You might try checking the fuel filter and pump as well.

1998 Pontiac Grand Prix shuts down in Drive or Reverse

When you remove your vehicle from park, the idle air control valve (electronic choke) operates to keep enough air going into the motor while you aren't using the throttle so it will stay running. If it is too dirty it can't move properly...you'll stall.
Pull out and clean or replace the idle air control valve.
