I have a Cadillac deville 1998 v8 northstar. I had my alternator rebuilt and got a new battery. Vehicle started once but dash read battery not charging. Took vehicle to O'Riellys Battery tested bad. Had to get a jump to start vehicle. Replaced battery with warranty. Tried to start vehicle w new battery, vehicle wouldn't start. However dash lights and lights came on. It read across dash theft security problem, vehicle may not restart. What could this problem be?
Usually it means the computer is not accepting the chip in your key.
It can be the key, the sensor in the lock cylinder, or something in the security module or computer.
You might try another key or lock and unlock the driver's door with the key.

Check the starter/solenoid - sounds like either one or both need replacing. If you can get the starter off - you can take it to an Auto Zone or an O'Reilly's to get it tested. I'm not sure of any tests for the solenoid (sometimes it's part of the starter) - some cars also have a starter relay switch. If that's the problems - it's usually cheap & easy to replace.
bcm has very little to with the anti theft. you need to de active the anit theft

You took the car to the dealer and they cant find anything? Hmmmm
Call GM customer service in Canada or USA tell them what your problem is its a 2011 tell them!!!! make sure you get customer service have your Serial number ready and they will get you to a dealer that will fix it. Make a big complaint and tell them you are going to give this car back to them just atch ans see, I fthey dont cal back again and speak to head manager trouble shooting and complaints of GM.The way they sound they cant find any problems sounds worse than that its a caddi they have dash ,cluster electrical problems you still have warranty its a year and half old :)
