You may have checked the connection on your battery, but you also need to check the other end of your negative connection to the battery, (the end connected to the body of your car), chances are it's a bad connection and needs to be cleaned.

Check your fuses, you might have a blown fuse.

I have a 97 Infiniti J30 and it has been breaking down on me off an on..since I bought it. Right before the car breaks down the battery light comes on, the brake light and the headlight light comes on..then it eventually shuts the whole car down..no power..dead..if I charge it, it holds for a lil while then dies out again..have changed the alternator many times..battery..battery terminals..computer..still having the same problem..now I noticed if I were to turn on the auto button for ac or defrost the lights would come on..but I havent been using it and the problem still happened..please help!!

Take it to a dealer and have them hook it up to their diagnostic computer...chances are you have a bad computer and need to replace it. J30? Not going to be cheap.

My car will not start. The battery is new and has a full charge and turns everything on when I turn the key but when I try to start it, it will not do anything not even clicking noise.

if the battery is good it is NOT the alternator. the alternator charges the battery, if it won`t start with a new battery the alternator does nothing to affect the situation. check voltages at the starter motor connections for proper voltages even the wires that the ignition switch supplies power to. if you have proper voltages at the starter you can try hitting the starter while someone tries to start the car. if it starts the starter is worn internally and will have to be replaced.

Does it roll over? If not your starter solenoid or starter may be bad.

Car ran fine but now won't start and battery is working but won't jumpstart.

sounds like the starter motor, make sure the battery did not leak acid and corrode the cable, remove battery cables and inspect first. If cables and battery are okay then starter is most likely cause

My 1999 mitsubishi diamante will not start. I got a friend to jump it but it still would not start. I took the battery out and took it to autozone to charge it. But autozone would not charge it because...

It sounds like you need a new starter. If you hear the starter click when you turn the key to start, replace your starter since you already replaced the battery. You might want to have your alternator checked out, or when you get your car started, test the battery terminals with a multimeter. You should have around 14 volts with the car running. If not, you will need a new alternator. The alternator won't keep the car from starting though, unless the battery was drained because it wasn't charged. Even then it is the battery keeping the car from starting.

If the starter is not clicking, check your fuses under the hood. If all checks out, you may have a bad ignition switch.

93 won t start, clicking when i try to start... it started after sitting for a few days than now it won t don t know if its my starter battery or alternator

I would change all three. alittle expensive, but on this old of a vehicle I would not waste time and trouble. if this doesnt work then maybe some ignition problems. But i would guess that battery, starter, alternator, should do the trick
