I have got a Volvo v70 t5 with a telephone inbuilt, the only thing is i cant seem to find where you put a sim card, the manual says there should be a slot under the keypad but there is not one there

I've found Volvo's bluetooth to be pretty reliable so I'd try with a different bluetooth device first. If you have an old used phone, throw some music on it and connect it to the car and play it for the next day or two while you're driving.
If that works fine, it's probably your phone. Check for updates to the phone and do a factory reset (or at least check/remove apps that use/manage bluetooth) to see if that helps.
well,you just might have to get a pair of channel locks and persuade that tight thing! does it just spin,click or is it just to tight? put on gloves before you twist and turn so you dont cut hands if it breaks. all else fails, break off and get new
The only way this is possible if you contact a Volvo dealer and give them the ownership details of your vehicle. But this will only work if it is a factory fitted radio. If it is aftermarket you may have to contact the person or dealer you purchased it from for the code. Check your owners manual it may have the code in there..hope this helps, let me know how you get on.
You should purchase the factory repair manual. With current dealership repair rates at 90 to 120 dollars per hour, It should pay for itself the first time you use it.
If you want a cheaper manual, Chilton's is good if you are technically proficient, and Hayne's is better if you aren't. Both can be purchased at Auto-Zone, NAPA, etc,
Google Volvo wiring diagram. They are available free. The diagram shows the wire location and colors. Otherwise, run a continuity test with a simple meter to discover a connection with some resistance between a pair of wires. If you here a click or two, from the speakers, you have found the right pair. Continue and label the pairs left, right, front,rear, until all are identified. Then reconnect. A pain but not rocket science.
