Water level hot n wont start

Hi there:
Check coolant level fluid and test engine temperature sensor; sometimes, when PCM detected this warning signal from ECT (Engine Cooling Temprature) sensor, the engine wont start i order to prevent some damage.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like the pgmfi relay is going out. This is a common problem with these cars. They get hot and dont want to work, they cool off and everything is ok.

Car overheating

"Will start but will not turn over" What the hell do you mean by that ?
If you can start your engine then check the upper coolant hose, this one should get hot first, then, after thermostat opens, the lower coolant hose should start getting hot also, check both hoses every 30 seconds wile the engine warms up to operating temp. If any of the above is out of spec then I would change your water pump.

hi, the first thing i would do is get the head gasket checked this will involve using a sniff test this fits into the water filler bottle and test if their are any gasses getting into the water system as when it over heated this can usually cause damage to the head gasket.
doing this is a big job and will require specialist tools but get it checked out first before you spend more money.
Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

no - an alternator will NOT cause the engine to overheat like you have stated.

My 94 honda accord ran hot and now wont start

Sorry. Could also be a cracked head or block. Take the spark plugs out and see if they are wet.  Charge battery and turn engine over with the coil grounded and the sparkplugs out. If water flyes out of any cylinder, you may have to disassemble the engine.
