Fluid Change has nothing to do with making a
repair or solving anything,it will however make
a slipping trans slip worst & even quit
Do you have 120,000 miles on the trans, then it's time
to rebuild or replace it with a reman

SOURCE: transmission fluid for 2007 pontiac G6 GT

This car does not have a auto trans dipstick, the level can only be checked by the dealer, this is a growing trend that started with most German cars, the filter is inside the trans pan and only needs changing every 60,000 miles.

Mitsubishi express van 2.4 auto not changing into 4th gear. Any ideas?

If it's hesitant to shift, or not shifting at all, it could be a simple fix.
The first thing you'll have to do is to check the transmission fluid. Allow your van time to completely warm up before doing this. I recommend you do this while it is running. If it is low on fluid, there's your problem. If the fluid level is okay, then you may need the transmission filter and fluid both changed. Changing you fluid/filter is relatively simple. It's similar to an oil change with the exception being that the filter is inside the transmission, visible only when you remove the transmission pan. The filter isn't like an oil filter, it's more akin to your filter on your home A/C unit. Some have a replaceable filter, and some have a permanent filter that you'll have to remove and clean before re-installing. If you do need to replace it, they are inexpensive and found at any auto parts store. If it's still giving you problems, unfortunately it may be an internal problem that you'll have to take to a transmission specialist. Make sure to find out exactly how much fluid it holds and what type of transmission fluid it needs before you change it.

1998 pontiac transport Van will not shift to 2nd gear but will drive on 1st gear 30mph...what can be problem

Could be a dirty oil filter in the transmission with out proper oil flow the pump has difficulty providing the right amount of pressure to allow the up shift. Check to fluid level if it's low add what your owners manual tell's you. Not always but sometimes a back washing the transmission can remove deposits left behind by clutch material's from the valve body intricate maze of travel. This can only be done by a transmission shop that offers this type of service. Most automatic Transmissions failures are caused by neglect long before high millage cause's trouble. A rebuilt transmission may be needed how ever that my over ride the value of the vehicle. I hope you can get your van back up & running as it should.

My 92 ford tempo shifs hard

If you have recently changed you Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF), the wrong type of fluid may have been put in. Incorrect fluid will cause the transmission to shift poorly. Old or dirty transmission fluid can also cause issues with the designed operation . If you can not remember the last time you changed the ATF or have never changed the ATF, see if an ATF change fixes the issues you are experiencing. Consider having the transmission filter changed also. If you continue to have hard shifting after this there may be more serious problems developing that may have to be dealt with.
