Car cd player error code

could mean it has a jammed cd stuck in it or the kids have pushed two cds into it ,best advice is to buy a new radio with usb and sd card support and not bother with the cd player at all .

It may have a foreign material stuck in it.

pull the player out but leave it connected. when you push the eject button,lightly tap on the top of the cd player, if there is one jammed, you may want to consider just getting a new cd player, it may do the same to your cd!

it may have another stuck CD inside. or something else. Especially if there are kids around. I removed 2 CD's from a stereo which had the same problem.

cd player uses the display above the radio on the later model,either take it to reanult garage or put a belson in like mine whic plays USB/SD card/ CD/radio ,it was about 90€ and trust me it brilliant no more cds in car ,just one sd chip 2 gb all my favourite tunez on one device

No the loading mechanism has failed, it is a complicated peice of design and they are the most common thing to break on all CD players, you will have to pull the unit and send it out for repair at an authorized GM radio repair center, they are in the phone book and on line under car radio repair

the clicking noise is most likely the laser trying to focus on the disk, make sure the cd is clean and if thats not the case clean the cdrom player with a cd player cleaner
