P0306 misfire Toyota Camry 1997. 180k miles. V6 Engine. Engine shaking with check engine light flashing. Switched the Coils to check if coils needs to be replaced for 4th and 6th. Threw the codes. P0306 is still showing up. Is it the plugs? What other problems could the car be having if its not the plugs?

Hi! Those numbers are identifying the cylinders that are misfiring.Cylinders 2,3 and 6. Does does the check engine light flash? Does the vehicle run poorly. The manufacturer recommends spark plug replacement at 100,000 miles. If that has been done then possibly also ignition coils. Try swapping those cylinders ignition coils with other good cylinders and see if the codes change to other cylinders indicating bad coils.

Did you check compession it looks like you have low compression and posisibly fuel injector problem or just do a complete valve job if you see any white smoke

cylinders 135 are on rear off engine by fire wall, does your car have all coils or only front three, if this is the case, if no oil found into spark plug tube try replacing wires first, if oil in them replace valve cover gaskets and gromets, dont forget a fresh set of wires.

Switching coils is not the way to resolve that issue
At home,no experience,no test equipment, all you
can do is walk a new coil, one cylinder at a time &
drive at least 20 miles in hot weather if possible
You don't have the ability to check fuel trim or an
easy way to check for vacuum leaks.
You also can't check cylinder contribution for
mechanical problems,that should happen first
Walk a new coil,putting back the old one as you go
The codes are not always correct or you get many
that make no sense.
If one coil is bad & 7 years old the others are not
far from acting up also
Those coils do many different acts on different engines
No PO300 will tell you if you have a bad coil or what one
I have seen professional scan tool software not work,
& your back to the coil walking

Probably bad plug wires. Start there and then disconnect the battery for 5 minutes reconnect and start engine to see which codes have cleared.

2000 toyota highlander just had oil changed and VSC lightis on.

4cyl or V6?? Have your ignition coil checked and you vehicle scanned for the check engine light. If this is a 4cyl the coil is inside the distributor cap (possible oil leaking into the cap, very common on 4cyl camrys). If its a V6, have the Crank and cam sensors inspected. Hopefully this helps!!

You have coil over spark plug ignition and one of your coils is bad.You need to find the bad coil and replace it.

You need to take this to a dealer, I think you may have an issue with the injector circuit, possible a defective PCM or wiring issue to the injectors, I don't think that the injectors themselves are the cause.
