P1275 Aging of Oxygen Sensor Ahead of Catalytic Converter (Cylinders 1 - 3) - Below Lower Limit
The diagnosis of "oxygen sensor aging" helps to identify oxygen sensors that exceed emission limits because of aging. During the diagnosis of oxygen sensor aging, the DME control module monitors the period of the sensor signal. With an old sensor, the duration of the period is too long, i.e. it is more difficult for the sensor to diffuse oxygen into the exhaust gas. Reasons for this could be frequent driving in the lower load range (city driving, short distances, etc.) or a contaminated sensor.
Bottom line - you need to replace that O2 sensor.
hope help.
There is some sort of diagnostic code stored in either the ECM(engine computer) or TCM(transmission computer).There are many sensors and solenoids and other data parameters that can cause a codes to set other than just the oxygen sensors.You will need to have the code(s) pulled to know where to start.
Have you tried to disconnect the battery for a while, since you changed the Oxygen sensor? The light won't just go out by itself, even though you most likely fixed it. If you clear the code, and it comes back, then you need to dig deeper!
code p 0138 refers to 2 items
1--heated oxygen sensor(HO2S) 2 bank 1--high voltage ==causes --wiring short to positive --HO2S---ECM
2--oxygen sensor (O2S) 2 bank 1--high voltage ===causes wiring short to positive ---ECM
code p 0139 refers to 2 items
1--- heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) 2 bank 1--slow response ===causes --heating inoperative --wiring--ECM
2--oxygen sensor (o2S) 2 bank 1 slow response ===causes --wiring --- O2S
heated oxygen sensors9HO2S) are in the exhaust manifold before the cat converter
Oxygen sensors (O2S) are after the cat converter
it is indicated that the HO2S is faulty-
check the wiring and /or replace both sensors
After repairs are made you must locate a small box in the middle of the speedometer cable under the dashboard and, press a button inside a tiny hole in that box with a small screwdriver this resets the light as, the light comes on only because so many miles have been driven
