The 1993 Prism was a joint project with GM and Toyota. Most of the components are Toyota put together by GM. In your case the test plug for the computer is in the engine compartment. Two terminals are jumpered to make the check engine light flash the codes. The codes tell a mechanic what to test, not what the actual problem is. Most of the time the code(s) are for problems that affect engine performance or emissions.

The following is from a Haynes manual for 1993-1996 toyota corolla and geo prism:
Code 14: ignition signal. No ignition signal to the ECM. Check igniter or circuit, ignition coil, ig. switch or circuit, ECM (engine control module or "computer")
Code 24: intake air temperature sensor. Open or short in the intake air temperature sensor circuit. Check intake air temp. sensor or wiring to ECM.

Disc like device with two vacuum line on the pasenger side and one vacuum line on the driver side. Best way to get to it is to remove the intake manifold. you need to replace it to get the problem fixed
