Replace a 1999 Lexus LX470 headlight

Purchased the identified replacement bulb, but the wiring inside looks different and the socket fitting size looks different

Thanks for the feedback. The issue is the number then in the owner's manual is calling out the high beam part for the low beam.

The low beam photo you included looks like the one I pulled out.

Replace a 2004 headlight light bulb

The Head Light Bulb, can be removed from the back of the headlight under the hood, you'll have limited space to work, but reach in to the back of the assembly, you'll feel a couple wires that go to the bulb socket, you'll need to pull back a rubber boot over the bulb socket, and very easy turn the whole socket until it releases from a wire hold down, and pull it out, remove bulb from wiring socket and replace it just the reverse way you took it out, DON'T touch the Bulb its self with your fingers. Ck the number on the Bulb replace it with a Compatable Bulb.

Repalcing the main beam headlight bulb on the 2004 Lexus ES 330

The bulb is held in place by a wire capture that hooks under a small metal hook on bottom of housing. The rubber shroud or boot needs to be pulled off first to expose the bulb and intermittent socket that actually holds the bulb. To remove the bulb push the wire capture (the end that is looped) toward the front of the car and then to the side to disengage the wire from the small hook, be sure to note the position of the plastic socket that the bulb plugs into as it only fits one way.Notice the tab on the bulb base faces up. The bulb does not fit snugly in the headlight socket, it is held in place entirely by the wire catch.

1999 Lexus LX470 failed inspection because the check engine light doesn't work. Any suggestions why and how to replace if just a bulb?

it was probably removed because someone wanted to sell the car, I would remove the cluster and put a bulb in

I cant find my starter motor on my Lexus lx470 1999

Lexus lx470 1999 Starter

Look at the "rear" of the engine where it joins the transmission. Follow the positive cable from the battery to it. Cog with the 'teeth' you see engages the flywheel to start the motor.

REPLACE TAHOE DRL BULB SOCKET

You'll have to order the socket from the GM dealer. I've tried some common park/tail light sockets from Napa, etc. and none fit the lens housing. Part# for my 2004 GMC Sierra is 15306157. (Yours may be different, but probably not)
Remove the headlight lens (unclip & flip the two black steel rods towards you and pull them straight up & out). The lens should almost fall out if the bulb wires didn't hold it in!
There are only two wires, and since incandescent bulbs are not polarity-sensitive, they can go either way without mixing them up. Just cut & strip the old socket's wires, and strip & crimp the new socket on. ****-type crimp connectors were even included with the socket.

How do I remove Head Light assembly on my 1999 Lexus RX 300

After removing the top and side bolts (which are obvious) Go to the fender liner. Remove all but the top screw . You will find (by flashlight or shop light) two bolts coming out of the headlight rear. With a socket wrench and 10mm socket, remove the two nuts on the headlight and pull out the headlight from the front after insuring the bulbs are removed and identified for reinstall. Take your time. It is not difficult.
