This symptom is usually caused by a poor connecrion. Remove the battery cables from the battery, clean them, and replace them tightly. If that does work, check the other ends of the cables for good connections. If all good, it is possible one of the cables has failed internally--under the insulation.

Hi,
The no headlight at any position is significant. it indicates that the entire electrical system is not getting B+12. Since there would only be two terminals on the battery and you have checked/confirmed that the negative is body grounded, it would only be the positive terminal. The positive terminal has two (2) connections; 1 would be very big and would go to the starter, another smaller would be the systems B+12. Often this 2nd B+12 wire passes through a fusible link which looks like a wire but is really a big fuse. It would likewise pass through a connector. based on this, you may want to check this fusible link and/or its connector. When in doubt, you can always temporarily replace this with ordinary automotive electrical wire to verify. Should this checkout OK, the next step would be to look for a master/main relay or a master fuse/circuit breaker.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards.
Thank you for using FixYa.

Check your fuses. The dash lights are on a different fuse. Also check dimmer switch. If its not one, then it is the other. Try working dimmer switch quickly back and forth( with the lights on when it's dark so you can see if they come on).
