If it is a diesel the octane answer is not the answer. They have to have glow plugs all working properly and for the right amount of time.

You are using the incorrect type of fuel whenever i go to the pump use the 91 or the highest grade of fuel availible because it has a chemical that allows the engine to burn gas at a low emmision level.
